The Omni Royal Orleans is a true gem in the French Quarter. Its old world charm with modern amenities will entice you, but the goodness and efficient, courteous manners of its staff is its real draw for me.

The hotel's location is the best, at close walking distance form all French Quarter attractions and restaurants. Don at the Concierge is very helpful. The overall registration and departure process was very friendly and swift. Some improvement can be made with the friendliness of one or two of the doormen. The pool is a must.

Very clean and friendly staff. Pillows were very uncomfortable and made sleeping tough. Bar staff and valets were awesome! Bar staff shared experience of the French Quarter on places to visit. Made our trip much more memorable!

Had a balcony room which was great for sitting and people watching everybody in the streets below to'ing and fro'ing. Great to have some fresh air as opposed to air conditioning. Even better when there was a jazz bar down in the street below our room. Ice to have a lunchtime drink on the balcony just chillin and listening to...

Location in the French quarter was amazing. Close to everything. Walking distance to cafe du mond,Natchez paddle boat,Bourbon st. and so many great restaurants. Most of staff was great, but not all. Rib room was over priced.Hotel is costly but beautiful.

Great hotel, make sure to get a balcony room. Leroy was my bellhop and he was amazing!!!!! Right around the block from all the action, but far enough away for a quiet nights sleep. Clean, friendly, and in a GREAT location!

The hotel was in a great location. Easy walk to Bourbon St from enough away that I didn't hear the noise and slept great. Room was nice size (I booked the cheapest room but got upgraded to the deluxe as I am an Omni Select member. Bed was comfy, the shower was great (love having some good water pressure and...

I have to say that I have yet to be disappointed in an Omni branded hotel since I discovered this boutique chain a few years ago. The Omni Royal Orleans in the heart of the New Orleans French Quarter continues to impress me with the level of service, the cleanliness and layout of the rooms themselves, onsite amenities/services and a...

Central to the places we wand to be: bars, restaurants, shops. Has a type of grandeur but not overly so. Love the bar and rooftop pool and especially the views. Issues: housekeeping is VERY loud. Every day. Lots of doors slamming and no quiet voices. WiFi on the 4th floor is so slow it is useless.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
