I was there for a conference and my husband tagged along. The hotel appearance is very nice and welcoming. The staff were extremely helpful and always available. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff were accommodating for extra towels and wash clothes. Great location, in the center of all the festivities and restaurants.

I spent 3 nights here with a group of 8 friends for my birthday weekend. If you are visiting during Mardi Gras season and want to be close to the festivities without being directly within it, this is a great option. You can reach the French Quarter after a quick 5 minute walk. There were Mardi Gras parades that passed...

Hi Mel98606, We value you as our guest and thank you for sharing time with us all the way from Chicago. You're absolutely right! Our location is close enough to get to the Mardi Gras action, yet far enough for some quiet time if you so desire. Mike and Garrett are truly gems at our Pelican Bar and I'm so...

Good location. Courteous receptionist. Condider to opt out of the "Green" option at check in. They offer you a $5.00 voucher in exchange for accepting that your room will be only full serviced every three days. For must of us business travelers that means a room that is never service during our short stay. The $5 voucher is only good...

Hi Efrain C, Thank you for sharing time with us all the way from San Juan! We value you as our guest and are happy you enjoyed your overall stay. Thanks for opting into our Make A Green Choice program - one night of foregoing room service saves 37.2 gallons of water a day. Thank you for helping us in...

Okay, so the so-called "green" policy of keeping towels is old hat. This place wanted something newer, that makes a bigger statement than keeping your used, wet, multi-guest shared towels. Here, there is no cleaning service AT ALL. What this means is that your bed remains wrinkled and tossed, the wastebasket remains filled, There is no replacement of towels, shampoo,...

Bowwowwow, Thanks for your feedback and for opting into our Make A Green Choice Program. Yes, taking part in the program means that you forego housekeeping services for three nights. However, if you need additional cups, towels, beds changed, etc, our housekeeping team is more than happy to accommodate. We apologize for any confusion and thank you for sharing your...

I was disappointed in this hotel overall. What a great opportunity to set a standard for Southern Hospitality and it fell short of the mark. The front desk was great, but difficult to really get good information from. There is a tour desk there, but I found that some of the people staffing it were quite surly. The answer, "2nd...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
