Me and my friend stayed at French Market Inn for our Halloween vacation this year. We were treated very well by the stay (e.g. received good recommendations). From the hotel we could walk everywhere, never had to take a cab anywhere. If I ever travel to NOLA again I'll come back! P.S. Thank you Nancy // Swedish Scooby Doo :)

Amazing hotel. Great staff. Great location. Room was very good. would give it more than 5 stars if possible. Rates were very reasonable. Close to Bourbon street but far away from the madness. New Orleans could do itself a favor and try an clean up the streets of the begging that goes on. my heart goes out to them but... More

The French Market Inn is located conveniently on Decatur - close to the bussle and noise of the French Quarter, but far enough away that it is reatively quiet. Be careful when telling a cab driver where to take you, since they often assume you mean the "French Market" which is further down Decatur. The staff are very friendly and... More

Great location on Decatur close to shops, restaurants and the French Market. Staff were very friendly. Valet parking available until noon day of check-out. Room was clean and AC worked great. No issues with noise.

We found this great hotel on Hotels.com and were so glad we did! It is a very quaint, clean, and elegant place to stay very close to many of the favorite attractions in New Orleans. We requested a city view room. We called the morning of our arrival to verify if that request would be able to be met and... More

Stayed here for a week in November 2016. People were extremely helpful and friendly. Great location on Decatur street right across from the river rail system a few blocks from Cafe Du Monde. Recently renovated, old school french quarter charm to the rooms with modern amenities. The pool is small, the courtyard is very nice to relax in. Security at... More

Charming courtyard, very reasonable prices, and outstanding customer service. They have valet parking as well. Close to everything. In the middle of French Quarters. This is a must stay. We will always stay here when we visit New Orleans.

I stayed here with my husband for romantic getaway weekend to celebrate his birthday. We had an interior room and I could not have been happier with the room, the staff, the location, everything! The room itself was charming and comfortable. You are steps from all of the action of the French Quarter but somehow the hotel itself is very... More

First time to stay here. It was very nice and the staff was great. Only thing I didn't like was no bathtub or window. Good location. Would stay again but would be sure to get a room with a window and bathtub!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
