The Lafayette Hotel is wonderful! I truly found nothing to complain about at all.
The location is perfect! The rooms are very clean, the beds are great. The shower was perfect, very good water pressure and no issues with heat.

This was a wonderful historic hotel located within a 10 min walk of the convention center where I recently had to do business. The staff was very helpful and had wonderful recommendations for places to eat. The rooms were spacious and beds extremely comfortable. Would...More
We had a room right on the balcony that made parade viewing amazing! Customer service done right!!
We had a small problem with the patio locks that was taken care of very quickly. They were soooo helpful getting across and around the parades when necessary....More
we loved the location, five blocks from bourbon street and across from a nice park. However rooms are very old dirty carpets and rooms are small. The staff were nice at front desk. Probably won't stay again.

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

The Lafayette Hotel only has one main entrance and it does go through the lobby. The hotel also has a parking lot located directly across the street from the hotel. Guests can reserve rooms that have street-side balconies by calling the hotel or visiting the hotel’s website. I hope this helps!
