I love this hotel and have stayed here at least 6 times over the years. The hotel has character and history. The carousel bar is lovely and fun. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable with all the tech stuff one might need. I can't wait to come back to New Orleans and stay here again.

Considered the best...but, I've stayed in may French Quarter hotels at various rankings and price points.....funny that the 'best' is the only place my room was burglarized by the staff. Brought it to the attention of the hotel, which went no where. You'd think, being a higher end hotel, the hotels concern level would be higher. In fact, in all...

This was my 2nd stay and as equally elegant and fun as the last! Hotel Monteleone has the class and atmosphere of stepping back in time and even some ghost stories to back it up! The doormen & overall staff were helpful tour guides along the way and more than happy to help in any matter! The carousel bar is...

Great room, fantastic location. Would definitely stay again. Room is not huge, but very functional, and new. Great robes, I tried to buy one but they would not sell me one. Bed is great. Loved the carousel bar; great for people watching.

Our family of four, including two kids, stayed here from December 24-29 on the recommendation of a family member and it was a great choice. The hotel is in a great location on the edge of the French Quarter but a long block from Bourbon street. Our room was ready when we arrived around 11 am and though small it...

This is a beautiful hotel and situated in the perfect place on the edge of the French Quarter. Everyone was polite and helpful and friendly. The room was clean except for the windows, which were really, really dirty. The beds were comfortable and the towels were great. Shampoo/conditioner/soap could be better. The room was a bit small for a family...

Stayed here with my fiance. She absolutely loved the bed. Pillows, sheets, mattress, all of it. The checkout process was efficient and quick even though the hotel was full with people attending the Sugar Bowl. We stayed here over New Years. The hotel restaurant is good and service was quick and efficient. The bar is famous in New Orleans (The...

I was very impressed with Hotel Monteleone. The Hotel is a very old, historic building. The room was very nice and clean. They have the Carousel bar off the lobby which is very unique. Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
