We spend two night at this hotel and unfortunate we only had time to visit the area of the French Quarter, but for visiting this area and enjoying the night the location was perfect. Near everything. And as our room was in the back part of the hotel there was no noise from the streets. We would definitely recommend the...

Outstanding Hotel in a great location. Great staff, well maintained and beautiful rooms. Quite loud at night but you expect that in the French Quarter. If you want a quiet night you might want to stay further out. Very clean and great breakfast.

The hotel was a great find in all aspects. Clean all around, the only thing I didn't like was the view from our room, we looked out onto an old building. But we didn't mind as the room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful.

We chose this hotel because it was in the French Quarter and because of the good reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. Because we had to change our travel due to Hurricane Matthew we added a few days to the front of our existing reservation. The hotel was full so we could not get the same room for the...

Hotel Marazin was all and even more than we expected as a place to stay in New Orleans. It's location is very near to all the hustle and bustle of Bourbon St but is amazingly quiet once you are inside. The rooms are well appointed and the breakfast selection excellent. Overall a really fun place to stay when visiting New...

Great Hotel. It was close to everything in the French Quarter. Love the big walk-in shower. The staff was able to get us a room late at night when the Omni gave away our room. We had not planned on staying here but we were so glad we ended up here. Very very happy and will return here again.

Hotel Mazarin far exceeded our expectations! We stayed in the Petite King and was a bit worried about the size before we got there, but it was just right for the two of us! Lovely hotel! Beautiful courtyards! Breakfast was wonderful! Location was perfect! Would definitely stay there again!

Stayed at the Hotel Mazarin and loved it. Great location in the French quarter, walk to just about anywhere. Goom was great, service great, parking across the street. Felix,s Oyster bar (the best--better than Acme) around the corner. Free breakfast (real food). I'd go back in an instant. Price was reasonable too.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

“We had a room with a small balcony, on which we and our friends played a game of cards before nightfall. We were able to watch a pre-Mardi Gras parade from the balcony. While the accommodations were pleasant, there was limited closet space and not much space for toiletries in the bathroom.”
