This hotel is close to the Bourbon St. brouhaha yet is quiet, charming, with a boutique old world New Orleans feel. The courtyard and Bar Vin are delightful. The breakfast buffet was very good while enjoyed in the air conditioned courtyard.

Wonderful experience from the moment we arrived. Beautiful courtyard to enjoy the great breakfast-eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit cup-leads to the rooms. Petite King room. (236) Courtyard outside the room. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Great staff-couldn't do enough to make your stay better. This is the place to stay-1/2 block from Royal Street. Easy walk to Jackson Square.

Nice room, very clean, short walk to good restaurants. Noise from street was very loud but this is the French Quarter. Breakfast buffet is very good. Staff was excellent. Larry is the best! The hotel concierge was very helpful as well.

Although our stay was for business, the Mazarin made it feel like a mini-vacation. Breakfast on the patio was relaxing and great! The atmosphere and feel of the hotel made you forget how close to Bourbon Street you were. The hotel was peaceful and classy.

Our room was quiet and very comfortable. The courtyard with fountain was lovely. Breakfast excellent. The Mazarin is a perfect location for exploring the French Quarter but also close to the street car lines for easy access to areas beyond the Quarter. We would love to stay here again.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
