Coming from 40 yrs of Hotel/ Airline backgrounds and consequently having stayed at many 4+ star Hotels around the world (including the Ritz Carlton New Orleans). We both very much enjoyed our two night stay at Hotel Mazarin 100 steps from Bourbon Street. Loved watching the world go by from our street facing balcony and would recommend it to everyone...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great ambiance, great Staff and great breakfast included. Located in heart of French quarter. Only downside was noise from Bourbon at night but kind of expected it being so close.

This is an old world structure that has been wonderfully renovated and made to function well in today's high tech times. Remember, this is an old port City with an infrastructure that is in need of serious work. So don't expect Dubai or New York glitz. It is very comfortable and right in the heart of it all. We enjoyed...

Overalll we enjoyed the hotel very much and thought it was a good value for the price. Very nice breakfast with fresh fruit , bacon, sausages, eggs, pancakes or grits, pastries...nicer than most breakfasts that are included. The 2 hotel bars were nice, the First Amendment was a lovely smaller place to enjoy the live entertainment. A few glitches, but...

The room was paid through Expedia and was charged again once we arrived. The manager once told quickly removed the over charges. Quite a bit of noise in the early morning where our room was which was 236.

Hotel was perfect mix of old world charm with modern amenities. Breakfast was a nice surprise, a lot to choose from. Staff was helpful especially concierge. Location between Bourbon and Royal was great, quiet but close to everything and the bars on premises offered great music.

My wife and I stayed at the Mazarin for 4 days and had an absolute blast. The hotel is located in a perfect spot just off the main drag so its not so loud at night. The room was very nice and they give you breakfast, water and a free cocktail. We would absolutely stay there again....

This hotel is located in a very nice area of the French Quarter. We had a lovely room tucked away in the 'back courtyard'. The room was quiet and very clean. Loved the marble floors and chandelier! Luxurious and very comfortable. The staff is happy and friendly. The morning breakfast in the main courtyard with the water fountain was the...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
