French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

Pool was closed, should have let us know - I was in touch prior to checking in and did not receive any information. Our kids were really disappointed as it was one of our primary reasons for selecting the hotel. Bathroom wall had a hole in it. Staff was nice but seemed

Dear Daddy, Thank you for choosing Royal Sonesta New Orleans for this year’s Mardi Gras celebration and for taking the time to share your detailed review. We’re elated that you so thoroughly enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the French Quarter and the tranquil oasis our lobby and courtyard provide. It warms us to know that you were able to enjoy the best of both worlds and that our friendly crew took such great care of you! From drinks at Le Booze to live music at The Jazz Playhouse and the delicious Cajun cuisine in Desire Oyster Bar, it’s wonderful to know that you were able to partake in so much of what we have to offer, and we can’t wait to do it all over again! Best regards, Alfred L. Groos General Manager

Great hotel and location. We went to parades. On the night of Fat Tuesday the hotel had a party on their balcony over Bourbon Street. It was a blast ! Full bar and food watching the madness from above.

This Hotel a poor choice at Mardi Gras! - from it's location on Bourbon Street as first timers to Mardi Gras it was expected this would be the ideal location to be in the heart of the action & atmosphere (and worth paying a premium for that) but this was unfortunately more like
