French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

So the hotel is very nice - I was here for several nights for a conference so spent a lot of time at the hotel. However, they need to tell people who are staying in rooms on bourbon street that you will not be able to sleep. I had them send up earplugs, and turned on two white

Dear Red, It was an honor to host your inaugural visit to our enchanting city! We’re thrilled that our location in the heart of the French Quarter allowed you to get the most out of your time with us. We’re sorry to learn that one of your friends was under the weather during your trip, and we’ll be sure to let Jabari know that his considerate gestures were appreciated. We hope she is feeling 100% better now, and we’d love to host you again on your next friends’ getaway! Best regards, Alfred L. Groos General Manager

Centrally located near great restaurants and attractions. The hotel reception is nice. Room also but for a 4 star hotel, outside windows needs to be cleaned. Maybe they're going for another look. Not too sure. Bath tub grout needs to be cleaned. Just need Clorox which most

Very noisy. Do not stay here if you want to sleep. Our room was right on Bourbon street and when we asked to be moved to a room on the other side, we were given another room right on Bourbon. We moved to the Roosevelt across canal, for less money, more room with better amenities

Sorry but we didn’t tour the rooms. You should call the hotel. On our floor they had a travel counselor stationed to help us with sightseeing plans and the breakfast/and sunset wine time. We liked this area because it was quiet and away from bourbon street noise.

Do the rooms have microwaves?
Dear Cindy, Thanks for your question. While our rooms do have fridges, microwaves are not standard. We do have a limited number available upon request and availability, so let us know if you'd like us to provide one for you. We also offer room service and have multiple restaurants and bars for your comfort and convenience. Come see us soon! Best, Royal Sonesta New Orleans

Hi. We were there at the end of October, and the temperatures outside were in the low to mid 80's. The pool was so warm that it was not refreshing, although I prefer that to cold water. I really cannot speak to how it will be in December. It will depend on how warm it is outside, as the temperatures outside warm the water.
