The location just a block from all the action and a few blocks from everything else was perfect for walking everywhere. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Travis and Myia should get raises! It is clean, quiet, and quaint. Water for shower one day was not warm, but that was it for negatives. Would definitely recommend for your stay in...

We had 6 wonderful meals there tonight. Shrimp and grits creamiest tastiest grits ever. The 3 veggie dinner terrific. The fish wonderful. The duck breast terrific. Desserts fabulous. Only dinner there. Eat there you will love it!!! Love it. Service Perfect. We ate out in courtyard on a beautiful night. They only have a deli for lunch. So affordable too....

This hotel is a bit pricey, but not bad for the area. The rooms were fine... Not a ton of hot water if you try to shower around 8-9 AM, but nice beds and no other real issues. The hotel also has a small pool and nice patio! All of the staff was nice. I would definitely consider going back...

Good place very convenient to bourbon street. Requested new towels and waited a long time to get some. Other people smoke on neighboring balconies and the smell could get into your room if you leave your door open.

Stayed 5 nights with 3 other girls. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Balcony room facing the courtyard, no noise from Bourbon St. Will recommend and will stay at this hotel again. Very easy walking distance to anywhere in the French Quarter.

If you are planning to spend time in the French Quarter or on Bourbon Street, this hotel is perfect! The hotel is literally less than a 1 minute walk from Bourbon and about 5 minutes from Jackson Square. While there is nothing special about the hotel or room itself, I would absolutely stay at Hotel St. Marie again and loved...

We have stayed here before and the rooms vary from disturbingly shabby to very nice. We stayed for 3 nights before our cruise in an indoor balcony room that was pretty nice but the night after the cruise we had a regular room that I'm not even sure the mice would stay in. They were doing some sanding in the...

Everything about this small hotel exceeded our expectations. The location is really central with many restaurants and bars in a short walking distance. Our room was large and comfortable- very clean, lots of drawer space to stow our things, and a nice roomy closet. We were pleased at how quiet it was as well. Every member of the staff we...

It's unfortunate that I feel the need to write this review. In a recent trip to the French quarter, New Orleans we stayed at the lovely hotel St Marie. The close proximity to everything, yet the quiet of the street made this a wonderful hotel. Aaron was superb on the front desk, we were always greeted with a smile and...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
