Good location for this hotel near everything. Nice modern hotel with friendly staff and good facilities. Would stay here again.Lovely rooms and good area .The only down side is the parking fee which a lot of US hotels seem to add on

This Holiday Inn Express is located downtown NOLA and it is a good location if you are looking for a place to stay if you are heading out or coming back in from a cruise. It will just be a short cab ride over to the port. The hotel itself looks updated and very modern. The furniture in the room...

Ryan at the front desk was extremely helpful to our needs, and was very friendly. When we first walked in, we already had a lot of issues with our trip. Ryan, along with Cesar (maintenance) and another girl (I didn't get her name) were very welcoming and had us feeling so much better by the time we went up to...

The room is extremely small. The bathroom is dirty and the shower is dirty in the corners. There is no tub. The bed is extremely hard. It feels like I am sleeping on 2 boxsprings. I will not book here again.

Our stay at this hotel was wonderful! We arrived approximately 5 hours before check in, and they had two adjoining rooms ready for us. The front desk was fantastic! We joked with the gal working the front desk on our arrival that we wanted her to ditch work and come with us. Every staff person who we encountered was absolutely...

The room was clear and the location was perfect for our trip (we had tickets to a show at the Sanger Theatre which was a 5 minute walk from our hotel). What made this hotel exceptional was customer service. The staff were friendly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants. What really impressed me was after checking out and getting...

My husband and I visit NOLA yearly around this time and this is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. See my detailed review from last year as every bit of it remains the same. Very consistent is quality and service. Will definitely return next year. Highly recommend hotel during your stay at NOLA.

I recently stayed here for 9 nights and would like to thank every member of staff I encountered. Without exception they were very helpful and exceptionally friendly. The room was a good size with 2 big beds and perfectly well equipped. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, I loved the pancake machine. Large flasks of coffee were available throughout the day...

The Holiday Inn Express on Okeefe Avenue was walking distance to the Convention Center (1.5 miles, 30 minute walk) or just 6 minutes by car. The hotel was located near major roadways like Union Street, Poydras, Canal and St. Charles streets. It is about 18 minutes walk to the French Quarter. The room was comfortable unfortunately, I got an adjoining...

Family of 5 rented two rooms. Layout was awful to have the bathroom sink right in the room next to the bed. My mother is handicap and needed a tub. We were never informed that the rooms were shower only and then were told we should have asked for a room with a tub. One room had dirty wet towels...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
