BREAKFAST: The cook, Duane, was very helpful and friendly. He was perceptive and attentive toward what everyone needed. The breakfast had a very wide assortment and was pretty good. We enjoyed the free breakfast every morning and had almost everything we could want. THE SUITE: We had a two bedroom suite. It was very spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping gave us...

Our stay at the Residence Inn was wonderful. The daily breakfast was always fresh, well stocked, clean, and organized. Greta made sure everybody had what they needed. In fact , the congenial staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The hotel was a few blocks from the WWII museum, which is the third best in the country......not to be missed. Trolleys...

What a happy surprise! This Residence Inn location was great. All of the staff was professional and customer friendly, in particular Marci, Duane and Greta. We had all the comforts of home, the location was ideal and very relaxing. Breakfast was great, the room amenities were superb. A friendly smile goes a long way.

The location was very convenient to the convention center and right next to a wonderful children's museum. It's also near the WWII museum and walkable to the aquarium and insectarium. The rooms are spacious though a bit dingy (stained carpets that seemed to lack carpet padding beneath; stained upholstery; visible toilet ring, found a prior customer's empty gatorade bottle in...

I stayed for business with family coming in the last night of my stay. Pool area was loud and crowded with water all in the hall from the pool traffic. The housekeeping service didn't make it by my room the first day, so when my family got there we had to request towels. We were brought four bath mats. We...

Thank you both for waking up early and cooking for everyone. The food is always fresh, good quality and tasty. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow. Breakfast room is next to the pool so if it's not too hot outside you can enjoy it there.

Excellent family motel in the Residence Inn tradition. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and enjoyable mixers. While I didn't like the $38.50/day parking fee, the valet staff was quick and informative. Easy walk to the WW II museum. We were in a 2 bedroom first floor room that faced the dog park, and was amazingly quiet. A good reflection on...

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
