My mother stayed here when visiting us. The rooms were lovely and clean, and she found it comfortable and was not sorry at a we didn't have a spare room at home! The owners are so sweet and welcoming we recommend this to every out of towner we know. They've always been pleased!

The owner of the Park View Guest House is a life long resident of New Orleans and she and her staff embody the very essence of southern hospitality! From the friendly welcome you receive when you arrive to the multitude of helpful suggestions and recommendations they are more than willing to provide on the best places to eat, drink, and...

My husband and I gave a two night stay at the Parkview Guest House for his cousin and her husband for a wedding gift. The staff was so accommodating and let us in early to deliver champagne and goodies to their room for when they arrived that night. They said they had a wonderful weekend at the Guest House before...

Park View has THE nicest and most professional staff! And the architecture is amazing!! It's totally VIctorian and well restored. NOLA (as the locals say) at it's best! The adjacent Audubon Park is magnificent. Tulane and Loyola Universities are right across the street. And the neighbors are really nice, too!

The Park View Guest House was our choice for a group of ladies, some from out of town and some in town for a "Staycation" The house is on St. Charles Avenue which in itself is beautiful and an easy way to get around on the streetcar. The house is also on the side of Audubon Park and we took...

WE stay in NOLA several times a year and have used the Park View on several occasions since 2009. Some stays were pleasant and uneventful, but two recent experiences have made us strike this place off our list. Last year, we were placed in a small room on the first floor. My wife woke up the first morning with bed...

I must say that when I first saw this gentleman's review I panicked, but then I realized that it would be clear to any discerning traveler that this entire review is a fabrication from start to finish. The only grain of truth in his story is that we did, in fact, keep his deposit. The reason for this is that...

We had a very good experience at the Park View. Breakfast selections were excellent, and the afternoon wine and cookies are a really nice touch. Grab a glass of wine and retire to the expansive covered porch to watch the trolleys go by. A very convenient location as you can take the trolley all of the way to the French...

We bought this item in a charity auction and were coming here pretty clueless of the actual character of the place. We were very pleasantly surprised by the charm, professionalism, and warmth of this place. The location is beautiful, and with the trolley right out front getting in and out of the city was a treat. The breakfast spread was...

I had tons of friends & family come to town for our wedding at the Audubon Clubhouse. The Park View provided more than a convenient location near the venue & the St Charles streetcar for our guests. They made everyone feel right at home in their beautiful, historic building. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to make...

We stayed at the Park View with our 2 kids and it was just wonderful! They were able to fit us in with a last minute cancellation. The only room available had one bed but the had 2 nice blow up mattresses for the kids. They were full but made extra effort to be sure we had all we needed...

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
