We had a very good experience at the Park View. Breakfast selections were excellent, and the afternoon wine and cookies are a really nice touch. Grab a glass of wine and retire to the expansive covered porch to watch the trolleys go by. A very convenient location as you can take the trolley all of the way to the French...

We bought this item in a charity auction and were coming here pretty clueless of the actual character of the place. We were very pleasantly surprised by the charm, professionalism, and warmth of this place. The location is beautiful, and with the trolley right out front getting in and out of the city was a treat. The breakfast spread was...

I had tons of friends & family come to town for our wedding at the Audubon Clubhouse. The Park View provided more than a convenient location near the venue & the St Charles streetcar for our guests. They made everyone feel right at home in their beautiful, historic building. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to make...

We stayed at the Park View with our 2 kids and it was just wonderful! They were able to fit us in with a last minute cancellation. The only room available had one bed but the had 2 nice blow up mattresses for the kids. They were full but made extra effort to be sure we had all we needed...

The Park View Guest House is charming and unpretentious! If experiencing beautiful uptown New Orleans near Tulane, Loyola, and Audubon Park is your goal, this is the place to stay!! The staff, especially Liz and Lori, is second to none--the afternoon snacks, wine, and sherry are welcome after a long day exploring the Garden District! You can get lost on...

My room was stuffed with two queen size beds with small old pillows on them. There was not desk or work space in the room. They have coffee makers on each floors and I asked for decaf at the front desk as there were no decaf pods by the machine on my floor. Found a note on my door -...

We are confounded by this guest's terrible review of our property. Of all the issues she mentions in her review, the only one we are aware of is the decaf pod for the coffee maker. My desk assistant explained that we make fresh decaf each morning but that we likely did not have any decaf pods available. Since this guest...

Wonderful Bed and Breakfast property across street from Tulane University and will stay here again. Beautifully appointed, no difficulty with street parking, and the kitchen went out of its way to serve meatless options for us at breakfast, including morningstar farms products. Kudos to the staff for making that happen. Looking forward to staying here again.

This bed and breakfast is a nice place to stay when visiting New Orleans. It is quiet and welcoming. The streetcar goes right past, so it is easy to get to downtown and the French Quarter. Breakfast was delicious, and in the afternoon, cookies and drinks are available for a snack. Our room was comfortable and clean. We will definitely...

This Guest House ...or B&B....is our home away from home. We visit New Orleans twice a Year...spring and fall to see our children. They own a home in New Orleans but have pets that my husband is severely allergic too...thus we found the Park View. This is located across the side street from Audubon Park, across St. Charles from Tulane...

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
