No place to self-park--even paid parking. The valet parking costs-per-day were outrageous. Bright Spot? The staff of both the hotel and valet service. They were all professional and proficient in their jobs and duties. On the other hand maintenance and housekeeping fell flat. A make-shift, jury-rig of a lighting system in the room was not fixed during my stay. The...

I have a group that travels to New Orleans in November annually. I have about four hotels and my host hotel is always the Hyatt Place. From the valet to the kitchen staff the service is commendable. The gallery hosts and sales staff are top notch. I already have my block set up for 2017.

The reception at the front desk was accommodating/the door men were great and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The rates were reasonable. The location was great for the event that attended and it was easy to catch a taxi.

Excellent staff, and location. Disappointing breakfast. Food was fine, but shut down too early, and immediately shut down when people still sitting and eating. Major complaint is that at this price there is no pool. They have availability to a neighboring hotels pool, but you have to pay for access, and walk over and back.

After sending a maintenance guy to find the desk clerk to check me in, this woman on her own little holiday, checked me into someone else's room. Even after I gave her my aunt's room number. The breakfast was delicious. Good thing the kitchen staff is so friendly. They made up for the ba check in experience.

My family stayed at The Hyatt Place for the Bayou Classic 2016 We had a total of 11 rooms. The staff was friendly, rooms were clean, breakfast was great. I would recommend this hotel. I will definitely stay here next year.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
