We visited New Orleans for the first time and were so excited for our stay. The hotel was perfect for what we needed and we had no issues with staff or our room. Due to Winter Storm Mara we were unable to return to Austin as planned, and flights were repeatedly cancelled. We ended up able to keep our room and add a couple extra nights overall with trip delays. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful, especially Will on overnight staff, the barista, and daytime receptionists (I unfortunately cannot recall their names at the moment.) The artists and featured throughout the hotel were eye catching and we enjoyed them (pictures included.) We highly recommend staying here, we appreciated that it was a bit away from the French Quarter and therefore quieter. We will be coming back!

Dear Erica, Greetings from New Orleans! It was an honor to host your first trip to our magical city, and our featured local artists will be delighted to learn of your appreciation for our art installations. While we are sorry that winter weather kept you from returning to Austin as scheduled, we are very glad we could extend your stay and ensure your comfort for a few extra days. Thank you for joining us, and we await your second stay in NOLA. Until then, The Team at Old No. 77 Hotel

The location was great and Raven at the front desk was very helpful. Unfortunately, we picked wrong for our needs. The rooms are very bare bones in terms of no mini fridge, no comfy chair and no window view. I love the old warehouse look, however the floor is very creaky so if you're a light sleeper, that could be a problem. One more thing; the parking garage affiliated with the hotel is several blocks away. Of course you can unload and then park but it's best to be aware of it first. My husband is an early riser and there is no coffee in the room or even in the lobby until something like 7:30am. I was also surprised there is no housekeeping each day. That is not a game changer, however I guess it's something I enjoy.

Dear md33060, We are glad our warehouse district location and Raven's kind and courteous service proved so memorable during your time with us at Old No. 77. However, we are sorry to learn that our minimalist-modern style didn't work for you and that our complimentary tea and coffee service began too late in the morning for your husband's needs. We have taken your feedback to heart, and we hope you find just the right hotel for your needs the next time you are in the city. With regards, The Team at Old No. 77 Hotel

This is a lovely hotel. The staff were the most friendly and helpful people I met while in New Orleans. Thank you to all of you. The bed was also extremely comfortable! There is also an excellent restaurant with equally wonderful staff and great food.

I felt like I was staying in a motel…poor cleanliness, barebone room, window facing a brick wall. Also, the weird artwork and leather straps on the bedframe were giving super creepy vibes. I’ve stayed in historical hotels before and enjoyed the character, but this was a rundown and poorly taken care of hotel…or at least my room on floor 4 was. The only upside of the hotel was the delightful restaurant on the 1st floor, by the lobby.

We are glad you discovered our award-wining Compére Lapin dining experience downstairs but sorry to learn that our historic vibe didn't work for you. We do offer many different room types, and should your travels bring you back to New Orleans in the future, we would welcome the chance to settle you in just the right space for your needs. Great Service! They treated a client the way you’re supposed to be treated from the beginning of the hotel. The best dirty chai latte’s around town in the hotel lobby. The paintings on the wall are great.

LOOK OUT! Not For Light Sleepers. We asked to change rooms because of the AC making noise. I went to the front desk to say I’m a light sleeper and it would keep me up. Maintenance came up to check on it to say we need a room w/a different AC unit. Went to the front desk, they were sympathetic & gave us a diff room. However, the room was next to housekeeping’s closet & the elevator. This was in no way a resolution. We decided to suck it up. It sucked alright. We heard not only everyone outside our door but heard every single step taken upstairs, every roll of their luggage & every step they take. Top that off with hearing the guy upstairs THROWING UP & his significant other scolding him for it! Additionally, this place is not a resort & they charge a resort fee. I live in Florida and know what a resort is. I will not ever recommend or return.

Dear Taya, We are sorry to learn that noise from our AC units and your neighbors kept you from getting the rest you needed in our historic building. We wish accommodating a move to a new room had solved your issue, and we hope that you found some time to take advantage of the many unique perks included in our urban fee while you were with us. We share in your disappointment in your ability to relax with us, and we wish you safe travels. Kind regards, The Team at Old No. 77 Hotel

Great hotel for the price! Beautiful older hotel close to everything! The only negatives were no in room mini fridge or microwave. Positives were restaurant and Café in lobby, close to Canal Street, comfortable and quiet.

Atmosphere was fun and unique! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms were well equipped, and beds were super comfy. Water closet was a tad small for our liking, but still great. Location was perfect for almost everything we wanted to do.
