I love this hotel, from the artwork to the music, the people, décor, and service, it is so full of life and art. The restaurant is spectacular! The bar and the drinks are off the charts good! Stayed at the Old No 77 for four days of meetings in the city For location, this hotel is very good in being close to downtown businesses and restaurants and bars. The hotel has a very good drinks and the restaurant looks very nice. The room is very nice in having old wooden floors, high ceilings and very nice (though...

Hi, we liked the property. The main issue was the lack of sound proofing in the ceilings/floors. I could hear every step and every word spoken from the room above. This could be a very cool experience, if it wasn't for that. After investing a lot into the renovation of a property like that, this is something that should have...

Passing through New Orleans on a road trip, we had gambling in mind, so we wanted to stay near Harrah's Casino, but didn't wanna pay for a brand name. We chose The Old 77 because it was close to Harrah's and was offered at a great price within the city center. It was extremely easy to find, pulled right up...

Road noise was bad, someone kept revving up their Harley & just cruised the block, over & over & over. Not the hotels fault just too close to all the action for my taste. Room was nice, clean, and hotel had a lot of character.

Great hotel in warehouse district with the old warehouse design - convenient to everything. Onsite coffee bar with pastries and restaurant with bar for evenings. Can walk to Bourbon Street, French Market, street cars, and more.

A lovely quiet peacefull hotel slightly away from the hustle and bustle of New Orleans, full of character with great staff. The rooms are clean and well equipped, fridge, ironing equipment, safe etc. There is a lively bar with a busy restaurant on the side serving good and interesting food. I can thoroughly this hotel for a stay in New...

The hotel has a nice appearance to it, but on closer inspection, everything seems to have been thrown up as quickly and cheaply as possible. The only parking option is valet, which utilizes a parking lot 5 blocks away and creates a long wait time for receiving your car. Many rooms don't have windows, and we were upgraded to one...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
