I'm used to the usual hotel - interchangeable and unmemorable. But this one is a nice surprise. Wood floors, brick walls and yet, a lush feeling in linens and amenities. The restaurant is a destination all of it's own and the cappuccino bar in the lobby is another nice touch. They have a nice program that if you don't use...

Let me start by saying thank you for sharing your feedback from your recent trip. I am so sorry to hear about the lack luster housekeeping service and the few amenities that were offered in the room. I can certainly understand how these things falling short of your expectations can certainly devalue your trip and stay. I would love to...

My stay at the Old 77 Hotel and Chandlery was fantastic. The hotel is modern and very welcoming. All the staff were knowledgable, friendly, and very helpful - even helping my fiance surprise me with a gift in my room! The location was ideal - about a 15 minute walk from the French Quarter, meaning it was a bit quieter...

Ray,the head bellman went out of his way to assist us with our car. When we checked out there was a marathon going on and he walked us to our car making it easy to leave. Bar and restaurant was great as well. Bartenders on Friday night, Feb 3 were very attentive.

Even better than expected! But there were no ghosts, which is a good thing or a bad thing depending on your perspective of what you really wanted to experience. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

My husband and I spent 3 nights here and loved the experience and much more hip than a regular chain hotel. Nice clean rooms, excellent friendly staff, free WIFI, nice bar and restaurant. Great location for walking to the Quarter, WWII Museum and Aquarium. Will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay in NOLA. Hotel is delightfully different, with an 'artsy flavor.' Given the old warehouse structure, the appointments in our room was very pleasing. The location is ideal, close (but not too close) to the Quarter, right in the 'happening' Warehouse District with its wonderful restaurants, and close to the river, Harrahs, and the WWII museum. For breakfast, Mother's...

Excellent hotel. Rooms were very spacious. Ray, the concierge, was great. Fantastic attitude and excellent recommendations. Easy access to Harrah's and the WW II museum. Nice assortment of pastries for breakfast in the restaurant.

After reading all of the reviews, I decided to go for it and it is basically as described. If you are looking for an upscale refined hotel, go down the street to Windsor Court. I would describe this hotel as "Hipster Boutique" with industrial elements. Had a problem with my interior room (it was dark) and they were accommodating enough...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
