We spent three nights at Posada del Cerro and loved it. The setting is stunning, the location is perfect being right on the lake and next to the nature reserve. The rooms/cabins at Posada del Cerro are wonderful and offer a very unique experience. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, one morning at breakfast they came to ask if...

My friend and I stayed in Posada del Cerro for 2 nights but wished we could have stayed longer. We were the only guests at the time and could not believe it as this is the best place we stayed on the whole trip. The staff were amazing, the accomodation was very clean and spacious and it was very good...

A calm, cosy lodge in beautiful surroundings. Excellent swimming in the lake (though a small pier might make it even better). Helpful staff making the stay even better. The not to be missed ruins of Tikal are less than an our hour away. Recommended!

We booked Posada del Cerro on the basis of TripAdvisor reviews. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The location is lovely at the end of the lake with a beautiful view of the surrounding hills, although the lakefront is not as inviting for a swim as we had hoped due to some rubbish (not the hotels fault). the rooms were simply...

All is very nice and lovely. The accommodation has small wooden houses in the jungle/forest with a lot of space, it´s also very clean and comfortable. Nice patio with view over the lake at the restaurant/reception...breakfast there was really enjoyable in the morning and with luck also including baboon noises, really awesome. The staff is excellent friendly and helped us...

This comfortable place strikes a nice balance between cruddier lodgings and the rather out of place high-end resorts in the area. It is inexpensive, safe, well-run and feels in context with northeast Guatemala. Staying on the north shore of the lake is a quieter, more beautiful experience than being in bustling Flores. The Posada has a beautiful view of the...
