My friend and I stayed while visiting Tikal and were very pleased with everything. This is what people go to out-of-the way-places to find. The hotel is small, intimate and charming in an island kind of way.....not commercial at all. It is run by a husband his delightful wife and their charming daughter. They try to know every guest and...

What a little gem! Not so little as it turns out, either. The garden is huge and the whole place is laid out beautifully. We only were able to stay one night (doing the Tikal overnight) and I wish I had a few days at least to give this place and the whole area. The hotel grounds are BEAUTIFUL. The...

We spent 2 days and nights at Casa de don David and agree with all of the positive reviews. David and family couldnt have done more to make us feel at home, with great food, ambience, conversation and knowledge of the area and ruins. The bird table and grounds were stunning. I would recommend this lodge to anyone.

We chose this hotel based on reviews. It is nice but a bit souless, with lovely owners and hosts but be aware that the evening meal is served really early and then the hotel and bar closes by 8pm. You then have no further access to the hotel facilities. There is no wifi, only satellite internet on the hotel pc....

This resort has it all for the most reasonable of prices and its as close to Tikal as you can get without staying there. David's family provides exceptional service and went so above and beyond that they drove us to Flores without charge. The food was superb and having one meal included for each night you stay is great value....
