After only 3 nights I knew I’d been Gringoed!! I’d booked 4 nights and extended to 7! And I would have stayed longer if my trip permitted so! Set on a beautiful lake, surrounded my nature.....tropical birds, reptiles (friendly ones) and a resident Howler monkey family, Gringo

Estuardo is a fantastic host with excellent English and good local connections for a Tikal Visit. Lola the Labrador is a good host too but her Inglés is not so good . We really enjoyed the unspoilt environment, swimming and spa. We would use the Lost Gringo again. WiFi

Vacation20913551413: Looks like you have been Gringoed! Consider yourself an official ambassador of Gringo wherever you go. Thanks for this awesome review! We are so glad Estuardo was able to accommodate you and ensure your good time with us. No doubt Lola ads a special touch to the place, she's working on her English, French and German. Amazing that you enjoyed the lake so much, it really is our best attraction. Gringo is and always will be your home in the heart of the Mayan jungle, we will take care of the lake and selva for when you come back! Our tip, would be to go to Tikal around noon, this way all the folks that went really early are exiting the park because they have been there for over 6 hours, the start to leave because they are hungry and tired. So the place actually empties up in the afternoon, making it more exclusive and with a higher chance of getting to see animals that disperse during the morning because of the crowds. This also allows you to watch the sunset on top of Temple 4, witch is as beautiful as the sunrise. Sooo basically you need to give Tikal a chance in the afternoon. We will be expecting you at Gringo for when you decide to give-it-a-go. Safe travels and always keep exploring. HGP
