We stayed in the motel portion of the State Game Lodge in September, 2016. The motel is directly attached by a beautiful outdoor patio area with a pergola with entry to the bar/dining room. The room was recently renovated and modernized. Navajo type blankets on the bed kept with the theme of the area. The bartenders were friendly, and helpful...

We stayed in the Creekside rooms which are across the car park from the main lodge. The rooms are large and well equipped, however the WiFi is hit a miss. The staff are very nice and helpful, however you can really see the difference between the permanent local staff members and the summer squad who don't give the impression they...

We spent a couple nights in the Eisenhower Room at the State Game Lodge. The hotel in a very beautiful spot and is extremely historic. However, unfortunately I think the actual lodge rooms have been allowed to run down quite a bit. Poor bathrooms and general maintenance. If you really crave the historic nature of a place, then go for...

Our family wanted to visit Mount Rushmore over a four-day weekend. We decided to rent a cabin in Custer state park. Since it was off-season, we got a good deal. It turned out to average less than $200/night. Having a kitchen, as ill-equipped as it was saved our family from having to eat out. I would gladly put more money...

This place is perfect for a few days to get away from it all. Custer State Park is an amazingly beautiful place and this Lodge is right in the heart of it all. We stayed in one of the rooms that was off the main building. Kind of like a motel room. Place was spotless, nice bathroom, comfortable bed and...

We have been going to custer state park for the last 5 years. The park itself is one of the prettiest places I have ever been. Buffalo roam free and there are trails and hikes for all. There are four lodges in the park and we have stayed at two of them. If you love the mountains and camping atmosphere...

Awesome buffalo burgers at a reasonable price. Food all seemed high quality and fresh (fruit). Nice ambiance and decor. Wait staff attentive but not overbearing. Would definitely go back another time!

The Game Lodge has been my "go to" any time of the year within Custer State Park. It is rustic. It has a lovely gift shop. Great morning breakfast buffet and a historic dining room for the evening. The best part of the last trip was the 600 hundred head of buffalo wandering through the grassy area in front of...

The restaurant menu selections are limited, pricey, and takes forever; therefore, opt for the buffet, if you must eat here. Our waitress was slow taking/filling our orders and curt to the point of being rude.

I don't no where to start, Very noisy rooms meaning we could here every flush ,foot step, cough from other rooms. And the cars that drove by. Cleanliness is not a top priority . Dust on the head boards. Most important was what appeared to be mold on the wall in the bathroom just below the fan the very noisy fan....
