Only had breakfast here. Excellent buffet. Very chatty waiter, who discussed the amount we should tip before we'd even sat down! (Terrible American habit). The lodge was beautiful, and Custer Park superb.

Yes, this is the newer property just to the east. Doesn't connect to the original lodge.

Custer is about 45 minutes from Rapid City. It is very easy to see Mount Rushmore, the needles, Crazyhorse in one day. Definitely do the wildlife loop! I know the cost is high but the jeep tour is fabulous!! In terms of the... More
