    We stayed in a small cabin by a creek. It was clean, comfortable and very quiet. It is close to many area attractions so it could be used as a vacation base. It was expensive compared to other hotels. However, we loved it!

    Too many flys, killed a roach and then a spider in the shower and for the price they need a washer and dryer for public use and free breakfast. We were at places for nights at $45 or $55 and you had cereal and muffins....More

    Yes, this is the newer property just to the east. Doesn't connect to the original lodge.

    3 travelers, sept 2917. this looks convenient for mt rushmore, custer, what about the badlands and wall drug, deadwood are these within within a doable driving distance. Needles hwy. love the wildlife, probably no hiking, unless short/easy. will start in portland and drive to mt rushmore and site see on way back. any suggestions, things we can't miss??

    Custer is about 45 minutes from Rapid City. It is very easy to see Mount Rushmore, the needles, Crazyhorse in one day. Definitely do the wildlife loop! I know the cost is high but the jeep tour is fabulous!! In terms of the... More
