Very spacious cabin inside Custer State Park. Large porch with furniture and BBQ. Firepit next to the cabin. Fully equiped kitchen (although only a few pots and pans). Large livingroom with Flatscreen tv with satelite reciever. Large double bedroom downstairs. Diningroom with fireplace. Realy a place worth staying. Staff was very nice, location is centrally located in Custer Park. Bathrooms in cabin were quite nice. Wifi was quite good in our cabin. The beds have to be 20 years old and you sink in them, not ok. $5 plastic nasty dirty chairs in front of our cabin. This cabin was almost $200 a night and the outdoor area...

We stayed here on our way back from yellowstone. It was a nice break from staying in hotels. We swam at the lake, which the kids loved. We had a small bonfire at the cabin and grilled brats. My only complaint is the beds were too soft and I didn't sleep well, the cabin could be updated, and they charged...

I have been to Legion Lake many times over the past 20 years for family reunions. I was very happy to see that the some of the cabins had been remodeled. We were in cabin 2(5 person) which had new flooring, kitchenette, siding, new woodwork and the addition of a deck. The cabin was very nice with a view of...

We stayed in a cute little cabin for 4 nights, while exploring all that the Black Hills has to offer. It had 2 queen beds, a mini fridge, a full bath, a TV with basic cable, wifi, and air conditioning! It was a bit cramped, but had all of the things we needed and we loved it! Plus, the restaurant...

My family and I had a great time at the Legion Lake Resort. The housekeeping cabins were booked so the four of us (2 adults and 2 children) stayed in a sleeping cabin. It was a little tight but we were out and about so much that it really didn't matter. The cabin was clean and had the basic amenities...

We stayed in a sleeping cabin for two nights. It had everything we needed--bathroom with tub, lots of towels, a/c (that we didn't use), coffeemaker, mini fridge and microwave, TV. We loved having breakfast outside on the picnic table and sitting around the campfire at night. It was like the best of both worlds between camping and staying at a...

My family and I(wife and 3 children) stayed at the Legion Lake Lodge. Five of us in a cabin was tight but doable. The cabin was in rather good shape, considering it was a State Park. The best part of the location is the Resort is on a beautiful lake/pond. My whole family went swimming(water is cool) and my son...

We stayed in a cabin and it was ADORABLE. We loved the setting - we were very close to the lake (a short walk). We stayed here for two nights and it was a great location for visiting other attractions in the area (Wind Cave, Mammoth Dig Site, Gold Mining, Mount Rushmore). There is so much to do in the...

We just returned from a wonderful vacation in South Dakota. We stayed 4 nights in a housekeeping cabin at Legion Lake Lodge resort. We were very pleased with our cabin. Of the locations one can stay in within Custer State Park (Legion, Blue Bell, State Game Lodge, and Sylvan), the cabins at Legion are the most remote. The cabins are...
