My husband and I stayed at the Plains Inn for one night at attend a wedding. We were pleasantly surprised at the charm of the Inn and enjoyed our accomodations. It's an historic inn and has a common area that feels like home. The kitchen is in the common area and the owners keep it stocked with the essentials like...

The inn was wonderful! My grandsons and I stayed in the room decorated for the 1980's. Plains has a lot of historical information concerning President Carter that would be fun for all ages. I recommend the Inn and the opportunity to hear President Carter teach Sunday School at Maranatha Baptist Church.

Visited Plains to attend President Carter's bible study and stayed Sun night at the inn. Sat night we had to stay elsewhere because it was booked. We had the inn to ourselves on Sun and enjoyed seeing all of the period rooms. We stayed in the 1970 room which was large and cozy. Beautifully decorated in the style of the...

What a wonderful surprise in a small and friendly town. The rooms are very spacious and welcoming decorated in period style of the decades from 1920 through 1980. A common room with a kitchen, dining area, sitting room and a balcony great for the morning coffee or just relaxing. The staff were so nice and helpful. We can't wait for...

This hotel will surprise you. The rooms are large and inviting. The decor in the 1920 room was very elegant and relaxing. Everything was to the 1920s. It has a nice balcony to sit on and open area to visit with friends or other quests. The local people in town are very friendly. I wish I could have stayed longer....

We loved our stay at the Plains Historic Inn. We can't say enough good words for how welcoming and courteous the staff were. We stayed in the 1940's room and the big cast-iron bathtub was my favorite part. Also, by staying at this Inn, they make sure you get a seat to hear President Carter teach Sunday School at Marantha...

It's not a hotel, it's an experience! It is a JOY to stay here, and it feels like home. Every room reflects a decade from the 1920s to the 1980s and is decorated accordingly — Mrs. Carter herself picked everything out. The rooms are enormous, each with exposed brick walls and their own sitting area (I've peeked in all of...

This is a wonderful experience for grandchildren and will help to instill a love of history in learning minds. Miss Jan runs this little Inn with military precision....well, she is in charge of briefing at the church as well as playing the piano. On second thought, I think she orchestrates all the activities in town. She is a delight and...
