Having read such positive reviews on the Daxer, we were looking forward to our skiing trip in March. We were not disappointed! The hotel is very warm and comfortable, the rooms a good size and very well appointed with a large bathroom and a balcony with nice views over the lake. The food was outstanding with a buffet with a...

enjoyed family skiing trip with 2 young children, proximity to ski lifts an added bonus in the mornings.Children were well catered for with plenty of choice from extensive breakfast and evening meal. While there was a set choice for the evening meal there was also a lovely salad and hot buffet for even the fussiest of eaters. The provision of unlimited hot...

The Daxer is still a great hotel to stay in,cleanliness and hospitality still of a high standard.Conney the young owner is very pleasant and friendly always had a smile for all guests. The only down side for my wife, son and I was the lack of a selection for evening meal as judged from last year, choice of 2 mains or...

Now our third visit to this hotel and loved it every time. The hotel is idealy situated for three main lifts up the mountain.(Trassxpress / Schmitten & Sonnenalm approx 200m away) I've never found the lifts too busy which is a contrast to the town lift. You can also ski down to within 100m of the hotel on Red20 though...

Location - Just a couple of minute walk to the schmittenhoe gondola station, if you wanted to visit the town the walk down is about 30 mins and the walk back is approx 45-1hr walk. There is a bus you can get...

Just back from a ski trip to Zell am See, had a great time. The hotel was ideally located, very close to ski school and lifts. There was a good selection of food, the rooms were clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the slopes, and the staff were extremely helpful, one of them actually dropped us to the...

PROS Three-minute walk to the ski-lifts Great food Spacious, clean room Helpful staff Heated ski-boot room Finnish sauna Swimming pool (small) Fitness room (very basic) CONS Doesn't accept credit cards to pay bar bill The affiliated ski-rental shop is small and can only fit about five people in at a time – so there was a mildly impatient queue outside....

Spent half-term week with grandchildren in this hotel. Great location for ski lifts and ski school which was the main reason for choosing it. Good choice and variety of food. The fish options in particular were very tasty. Room was spacious, warm and clean. Made use of the (small) pool which the children loved after a day's skiing. Nice bar...
