We stayed in the hotel for a week. The location is great for access to the slopes - either a short walk up-hill to ski down to a lift (not suitable for beginners though) or a short walk down the hill to catch the ski bus. On return you can ski to the back of the hotel. Overall the hotel...

Just returned from a weeks break and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waldhof Hotel, the staff were very friendly and pleasant and the rooms were very clean and warm. The rooms got cleaned daily and a little chocolate was left on your pillow every night which was a nice touch after coming in tired from skiing. The food was...

Just returned from a week holiday in this hotel. When we checked in, the lady at reception was very rude. We were staying at the new building across the road, she gave us no information and just pointed us the direction of our room. No information on skiing etc. while we were walking to our rooms, lights went out as...

The Waldhof has managed to give a very homely atmosphere, while remaining highly professional at all times. The ski-in/ski out facility at this hotel was a major hit with my family group. We stayed in the newer building across the road (or accessed via an underpass) and the rooms were very clean and spacious. On arrival, we were a bit...

Place: Great skiing, apres ski, shops... Location: In the quiet area, 5-10 minutes slightly downhill to the center. For skiing, 1300m uphill to trassXpress, Schmittenhohebahn and Sonnenalmbahn, 300m downhill to CityXpress. So, it is recommended to use a car or a ski bus (free). There is also ski track 100m behind the hotel leading to CityXpress (we never tried it)....

Very good food. Value for money was not ok. Room old and small for a 4* hotel, when we arrived lady's from the Reception don't know any about sky area. We should wait a day till the Lady's from the reception was change in order to obtain some information about skiing area. They don't have Bathrobe and slippers and Swimming...

The location of the Waldhof is great inbetween the City xpress and Schmittental with free ski buses in both directions (5-10 minutes ride). It's about a 5-10 minutes walk to the center of Zell am See, and also in a quite location as not in the center. When there is enough snow it is possible to ski down almost to...

Was very pleased with the hotel as a whole. Good breakfast and dinner with good variety. Service very good. Never experienced rudeness of any kind and the staff was always helpful and polite. You will have to choose when you would go to dinner. Either at 18:00 or 19:45 as the dining room could't apparently cope with everyone at the...

On the whole this was a very good hotel, with just a couple of niggles. The location is fine in that it's a 5 minute downhill stroll out of the centre and away from most of the hustle bustle, and only 100 metres from the nearest bus stop. The downside is that it's uphill on the way home, which was...
