My party of 2 might not have needed all the space of condo but it was wonderful to have it! I wish I had known there were several flights of stairs leading up to and inside the unit as well as the availability of air conditioning in some units only with an extra fee. Once I was rested from the...

Just finished a month's stay at this resort, and we highly recommend it. The location is great for playing golf at Kona Country Club with resort discount, nearby grocery store, drug store, restaurants, movie theater, post office and boutiques. Some people walk there. Marina is also nearby for all water activities & tours. There are beautiful gardens throughout; some units are...

Kanaloa at Kona has a great location on Big Island - easy access to all parts of the island. Outdoor facilitets are very nice - 3 different pool areas, tennis court and a walking path on the coast area. A very nice Golfcourse is the neighbour to Kanaloa. Indoor facilitets are very good - everything is working and nothing is...

I booked the property through a website that did't inform me of the following: -This is not a HOTEL! It's a timeshare condo -The check-in is off the property in a mall -Units have no AC -There's a $150 cleaning fee The lady that checked us in, Sandy, was a sweetheart but everything thing else is just awful. We found...

Aloha, Kanaloa at Kona is a condominium complex and there is no timeshare. There are multiple companies that rent units at Kanaloa, the company you selected does manage their units from an office outside the property. Kanaloa at Kona does have a front desk and an onsite rental company that manages the front desk. Mahalo, Stephen Hicks - General Manager...

We stayed in a two bedroom unit which was quiet, clean, comfortable with well-stocked kitchen and large living areas and a very private balcony. The reception office isn't onsite and we had a late check in due to a flight delay. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the unit was hard to locate as they are not numbered consecutively,...

Beautiful place, two bedrooms with a huge loft, three bathrooms, comfortable, clean, safe. Two nice balconies. Close to beautiful beaches (Kahaluu - good snorkelling, Magic Sands- good for playing in the waves along turtles) very good location. Will recommend to friends.

I stayed at the property march 5th through March 9th and had to cut my stay one night short due to the circumstances I will describe below. The issues were as follows: • No front desk service most of the time (I dropped off the keys at the security booth due to lack of a front desk agent at 7:30AM...

Aloha, Regular business hours of our Front Desk are 8am to 5pm. To ensure that all guests needing assistance can get assistance. We have Security on property 24/7. Security was available when you dropped off your keys. At the entrance to the front office we have a clearly labeled phone that dials directly to security. Hawaii is the tropics and...

Pros: great location near ocean and bay harbor and large shopping center, oceanside pool and hot tub, very clean and spacious 2BR unit (3009) with washer and dryer. Cons: no beach access from the complex (pretty common issue on this island due to lava), at check in we were told A/C would incur additional fee of $25/day. We didn't need...

Aloha, There are several companies renting units at Kanaloa. Each company has different procedures and charges. The charge for A/C is a regular and common charge for most rentals at Kanaloa. We monitor and treat our spas 7 days a week as a good business practice and as required by the state of Hawaii. Most rental companies provide adequate supplies,...

This is a lovely property with multiples swimming pools, great views over the ocean and golf course and spacious accommodation. We had 3 balconies on our 2 bedroom unit, lots of kitchen and living room space and it was bright and airy. I'd go back again or recommend it to friends. It's on the low key end of Kona away...

Aloha, Kanaloa At Kona consists of 37 buildings with 4 to 6 units in each building. Because of this Polynesian layout design the buildings have only stairs. This can be challenging for some guest, but remember the property has 74 ground floor units, each with only three steps to the front door. The properties front hours of operation are 8am...

The staff was completely rude at every interaction. We tried to check in and they charged us a separate tax and made us wait thirty minutes before we could go to our condo despite our check-in time was hours earlier. The residents who live here were rude at the pool and even asked if we were trespassing at one point....

Aloha, I am disappointed at your recent experience when checking in and checking out; guest satisfaction is one of our most important goals. I will speak to my team about this. Overall on the property we have only 8 out of 166 units with full time residents. Our security team is primarily responsible for monitoring the property and the pools...
