We were informed the day before we arrived that an extended family had rented the entire house and that we would not be staying there, but in a separate building (the Garden Suite) where the innkeepers themselves live. We never got to even see the inside of the "nice" house. On top of that, we were also informed that we... More

Ironman week in Kona is the busiest time of the year and the Oasis usually books as an estate rental to a group far in advance, as was the case this year. The group did not need one of the suites, however, so a booking was accepted from this guest for a 1 night stay. He was advised that this... More

We reserved the entire Hawaiian Oasis for two families over Thanksgiving 2015. There were two couples, 3 older girls who each required their own rooms, and 3 adolescent boys who could care less where they slept -- 10 people in total, and we had plenty of space for everyone. My husband and I slept in the upstairs master bedroom, which... More

I stayed here in 2013 when Dan and Theresa were the innkeepers and it was amazing. Now Mae and Tom have taken over, it is just as amazing and they have kept up with the standard of quality. It is a dream being there; the beautiful gardens and ocean views will leave you spellbound. We stayed in the Garden Suite... More

Innkeepers Maye and Tom were warm and welcoming. The breakfasts were a highlight for everyone in our group! The suites were lovely and afforded everyone their privacy. The location had plenty of common area space and nicely maintained grounds. Our only surprise - we did not realize the air conditioning was an additional charge ($75 per day). Granted, we still... We are glad you enjoyed your stay! Just for clarification... The air conditioning is a recent addition to the property and is an option for our guests. The guests who left this review rented the entire property as a vacation home/estate in which case the addition of AC is $75/day. For our guests renting an individual B&B suite the addition... More

This property was unreal. 5 stars. Everything was gorgeous, well maintained, clean, etc. Tom & Maye were unreal and as we had a 14 month old made the stay so much easier assisting when he was being 'full on'. Breakfast was beautiful, pool clean and serene, views lovely, gush gush gush... We were the only ones when we stayed and... More

We love getting reviews from folks who really appreciate the little details that make the Hawaiian Oasis so special! Even taking photos for future reference?! Well done! I'm glad you poked around in other suites to see how unique and wonderful each one is. (Maybe a future trip with your whole family is in the future?!) You're right, once you... More

My husband and I visited on our honeymoon. We had a wonderful time! We loved having breakfast out on the patio overlooking the ocean. The food was consistently amazing and we still talk about the plate of fruit that Tom cuts up every morning. The coffee was, of course, sublime! We loved May and Tom's company and it was also... Our family rented the Oasis and everyone came in from around the globe. We spent a week celebrating a 60th birthday of one our clan. Everything stated in other reviews is correct. But now it is my understanding that MTV will be using the facility to shoot a reality show. I am not sure how long this will take however... More

I am not much of a reviewer but I need to make an exception here. The Hawaiian Oasis was my home for one wonderful week. Maye and Tom were such gracious hosts that made sure I and the other guests felt at home and were treated like family. The landscaping, with over 20 different types of palm trees, is well... More

This was a beautiful B&B with a wonderful host who had delicious tropical fruits and juices laid out for breakfast! My style is normally "backpacking" so it's a bit more than I would normally pay, but I was staying with my sister-in-law who was already there for a retreat, prior to my arrival, so to make it easier, we stayed... my only complaint in the whole place was the tennis court needs a bit of a trim but that is probably the most 1st world problem ever said. its a great atmosphere where you can spend weeks just enjoying the peace of the grounds and the pool and nature. the house itself is exquisite

Hi! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Hawaiian Oasis! The tennis court doesn't get much use, alas, but it usually is in good shape...maybe during your stay the gardener hadn't been down there on his last visit. We always make a point of giving the tennis area a good spiffing when we know folks who like... More
