This was our first stay at the WorldMark Kona. It is the smallest WorldMark resort that we have stayed at. The "resort" is kind of an ugly brown box on Alii Drive with a second ugly brown box to the rear, about 1.5 to 2 miles south of downtown Kailua-Kona, on the other side of the street away from the ocean. Private houses block a view of the ocean. We had a ground floor two bedroom, two bathroom unit in the back building. A queen bed was in the master, with two twin beds in the second bedroom, and a comfortable Murphy queen bed in the entrance hall area. The bathrooms were pretty basic. Our unit was quiet with a deck overlooking the pool/spa area between the two buildings. Alii Drive is pretty busy and the units in the front building may get more noise. We could easily walk to a very rocky beach to watch the sunsets, but the nearest restaurants or bars (Huggo's and Don the Beachcomber) were a long walk away (just over a 1/2 mile away). Most of Alii Drive has no sidewalk, but sufficient shoulder area to walk on. You needed to drive the car to get to a decent beach or buy groceries. A new Safeway superstore is approximately 2 miles away and a large KTA is about 5 miles away. Everything in the unit was in good working order, although the air conditioners ran full blast (unless the sliding glass door to the patio was open) and we had difficulty figuring out how to turn them down. We saw nothing in the unit or the exterior that needed attention or repair. The BBQ area was convenient, just outside the pool/spa area between the two buildings. The three BBQs were cleaned regularly and always worked fine (we used one most evenings). The living room and each bedroom had modern flat screen televisions. Since we purchased our WorldMark points on the resale market there was a modest charge for WiFi service, which worked fine for both mobile telephones and our laptop computer. The number of parking spaces at the resort was sufficient for the number of guests, but most spaces are on the small side. The spaces are fine for a subcompact, but we had a full-sized vehicle and there were only two spaces in the rear parking area that were adequate for such a large vehicle. Overall, had a good stay and the relative lack of pressure to attend an "owners' update" was nice.

My parents have had Worldmark as long as I can remember so sometimes my partner and I travel with them as all adults or we use my parents’ points for trips with the (now teenage) kids. That means we’ve been to many WM. Candidly, this is not our preferred method of travel - probably because all WMs are all fine but not special, including usually having fine but not special locations and amenities. This one was fine. All units face the pool so can be loud. They limit wifi to 2 devices which is cheap and also not acceptable for a 2br unit, which we had. We had to do some remote work and my dad is obsessed with getting on wifi so it creates an annoyance. Front desk staff was a bit surly and not really accommodating. They no longer offer refresh service even if requested, which is pretty bad for anything over a one week stay (I didn’t ask, but I assume they’d use covid as an excuse, however if a guest wants cleaning during an extended stay it should be offered at least once a week - I don’t expect to have to deep clean and change sheets myself on vacation). The kitchen has small roaches (not from us - they were there day 1). But the decor seems to have been recently refreshed, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the location is walking distance to plenty of waterfront places so you can easily escape and get somewhere better. My parents love this place because of the weather. We probably won’t join them again anytime soon.

This condo is in a great location. Most everything is on Alii Drive which is a close walk (providing you are able to walk that far). We all 4 are seniors so walking was not an option. The unit was newly remodeled and was clean and nice. My only draw back is it could use a few more cooking skillet/pans. Also, more bowls would be nice. The parking is great, and the front desk people (especially Tina) was very friendly and nice. We didn't have maid service for our 15 days stay, however, anytime we wanted clean towels we called the front desk, placed our used ones by the front door and they delivered them almost immediately. I would highly recommend this condo.

We had 3 x 2 bedroom suites for our whole family. Even though they knew we were traveling together, no effort was made to put us close, one of our group was not even in the same building! The elevator definitely needs servicing and cleaning. Other than that, this is a typical Worldmark property. Kitchens are fully stocked and it is convenient to have the option of having breakfast or dinner at "home". Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. We had a 6 and 4 year olds with us and they loved the pool which is clean and well maintained. We had a large minivan and parking was easy and plentiful.

Our room was freshly remodeled and clean. Our 18 days here made us feel like we were home. The location is amazing. 5 minutes walk to the beach. 10 Minutes to Humpy's. Sunsets are amazing! Check in was pleasant and easy. Front desk staff was very nice and responsive. All of the grounds crew and housekeeping staff were very professional and friendly. Best of all the BEDS were amazingly comfortable.

My wife and I enjoyed our weeklong stay. The property is in fantastic condition inside and out, nicer than many other condo properties in the Kona area. The location is superb as we could easily walk for coffee in the morning or dinner in the evening. Sitting in the shade by the pool in the hot afternoon (over 90 degrees) was very relaxing. Kudos to the management of Worldmark Kona!

First of all, the location of this beautiful resort is right where you want it. Close enough to town to walk but far enough from the bustle. It’s actually the closest condo complex to the kona town life. My stay was wonderful, I was greeted by very nice front desk staff who helped me know all the rules of the resort. After check in I was directed to Lydia, the lovely concierge. The insight she gave me regarding everything I wanted to do on the island paid off tenfold. She was such a sweetheart, big beautiful smile, can’t miss it. Ask her any question she knows her stuff. The rest of my vacation was blissful as I hit everything on my bucket list and saved lots of $$ with Expedia on property. My room was newly remodeled, extravagant and had everything I needed. Much thanks to all the Kona Worldmark Staff. It was an unforgettable vacation.

We all have our checklists and this place tics all the boxes. We were in room 301 and this was on the end of the building. Some might complain that you could see the mess next door, but we rarely even saw this. Loved that this unit had a window on the side to let in additional light, this is a feature other internal units wouldn't have. Walking out the front door to a view of the ocean every day was amazing, patio overlooked part of driveway, a few parking spots, and the pool/cabana area. This didn't bother us because we were seldom on the porch, mostly at the pool, beach, or exploring. Location - only minutes from down town Kona, and Snorkel beach areas. Comfort - very consistent with what you expect from Worldmark properties Clean - again consistent and clean, air conditioners were on when we arrived making for a comfortable room to walk into right from the start. The pool and hot tub were perfect temperatures, and clear as crystal. Loved the covered and uncovered seating areas. Friendly - This was our first trip to Hawaii, and our first stop on a three island vacation over 3 weeks. The staff here was amazing, friendly and welcoming. I was so happy that this was our first experience visiting the islands, and their true Aloha spirit was wonderful.

This condo is conveniently located to many restaurants, shops, and beaches. Alii drive is jogger and bike friendly. Parks and beaches is within a mile if you like a casual walk. The unit is very nice and roomy. You can see a glimpse of the ocean from the unit, but seriously though, this is Hawaii! Go out there and snorkel in the shallow waters and swim with the fishies and sea turtles. The room seemed to have a good insulation because I can barely hear the noise from the outside. WiFi signal is strong enough but I did not check how fast it is to watch a movie or play games which I don’t recommend. You’re in Hawaii! Need I say more? There are barbecue grills, swimming pool, and hot tub. We got a one bedroom condo so it came with a full kitchen. My husband and I were very satisfied with the room and the personnel were nice and friendly.
