My husband and I went on a Hawaiian island hopping vacation. The Big Island was our favorite we visited and the Sheraton Kona is absolutely stunning and unforgettable.
The grounds are beautiful, the ocean views breathtaking, & staff so hospitable!

I read a lot of negative reviews about this hotel before we left. Yes we found it a bit overused, but it was clean, in a good location, and good amenities. Pools were nice, both poolside bar and hotel restaurant has good food.

Unfortunately, unlike Honolulu, there are no hotel shuttles. Well I guess I shouldn't say all hotel don't have shuttles since I can't confirm that, but Sheraton Kona and others I have stayed did not. Its rent a car, or take a taxi. I understand Uber is limited but also working on the Big Island. Probably going to cost you $40-45 for taxi/Uber.
