if I were to chose one nice thing about the unit it would only be that they chose a good hair dryer to provide their guest. This place is in dire need of upgrading, dirty walls with lots of marks everywhere, doors need a good cleaning or replacement. The kitchen and baths are stuck in the 80's, the melanin cabinets...

This place was absolutely wonderful. The staff was fantastic, the grounds are gorgeous, the condo was unbelievable. If you are looking for a relaxing stay on the Big Iland this is where you want to stay. No ocean views but everything is close or a short drive to anywhere on the Kona side of Island. You will need a rental...

Thank you for your review of Mauna Loa Village on Tripadvisor. We are happy that you enjoyed your vacation and also enjoyed your accomodations with us. You are correct in advising everyone to rent a car. The Big Island does have a public bus system however it goes around the Island only 1 time a day. We appreciate your business...

We arrived here for a week long stay immediately after a week on Maui and were already in vacation mode. We arrived on the Big Island via Mokulele Air with wonderful views landing in Kona. We picked up our rental vehicle, stopped at a recommended locals cafe for a late lunch, then made the short drive (<30 mins) to Wyndham...

This was a very affordable, clean and spacious resort. The property exceeded our expectations. Every employee we met greeted us with friendly conversation. This is a nice property if you desire privacy, yet you are close to many locations. You do need a car to stay here. Many grocery stores and other conveniences nearby. The staff was eager to give...

The friendliest staff I have met in quite some time. A portion of the units are apportioned out as Wyndham time share and that is what we had, compliments of my family. We had a basic package provided free of charge, such as salt/pepper, coffee, etc. which saved quite a bit of money. Otherwise, our 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom, double...

Aloha Karen, Mahalo for your great review of Mauna Loa Village. We are happy that you enjoyed our accomodations. Yes the property is not beach front but as you stated there are a few beaches nearby and there is a small shopping center a couple of miles away with grocery store, post office, drug store, movie theaters, medical offices, clothing...

We were very happy here. Large rooms, great AC, kitchen with all the pots, pans, and appliances we needed. Toiletries were provided. There was a washer dryer ( kind of small though) and TV's in the living room and master bedroom though not the 2nd BR. The wrap around balcony with table was the length of the living room, and two...

I had some timeshare points I needed to spend and picked this resort since it was next to the Kona Country Club where we had enjoyed its ocean course a few years back. Aloha John C, Thank you for your review of Mauna Loa Village on TripAdvisor. We appreciate your comments. We apologize that the Kona Country Club has not opened for business again.
