The only bad thing that we have to say about the Bear Lake Lodgings B&B is that our stay wasn't long enough. We only booked one night as we had to catch a flight out of Anchorage the next evening, but it was the most relaxing part of our vacation. The lodge location on Bear Lake is so picturesque and...

We often think of our hand dipped ice cream bars as a "little bite of heaven" - so we loved your description of us and our property. Happy to hear you are planning your return trip to explore more of what Seward has to offer. Say you mentioned, a stay of two of more days is a better choice to...

Stayed here for 3 nights in Sept 2013 and could not have been happier. From the friendly welcome from owners Dennis and Pat to beautiful accommodation (we had the bear lake suite on 2nd floor with great views to lake, large bathroom, direct access to deck and separate but adjoined space with another bed for accompanied child/friend) we were made...

WOW - what can I add to this reviewers comments. Wonderful to have our efforts recognized so nicely! Waiting for an internet expert to make a site for guest reviews done by the accommodations provider - you two would be 5 star plus!!! Your great positive approach to life lingers on at Bear Lake Lodgings B&B. Hope Alaska calls you...

Our lake views from many of the windows in the B&B are a welcoming sight to our guests. We love the reaction that guests give when entering our common area living room for the first time to view the lake. It truly is a beautiful view with the mountains and the evergreen trees - where its easy to spot resting...

I stayed here with several friends for 3 nights in August. The lake and kayaks were great to see the salmon spawning. We made several great hikes in the Seward area and it was always nice to come back to the ice cream in the evening. I suspect it would be even better with just the wife for a laid...

Trey, I'm so glad you and your friends found Bearlake Lodgings to be the perfect accommodations for your yearly getaway. Sorry your room, Mt. Tiehacker was the only one without a lake view, but a view of the mountain for which the room was named has to run a close second. It was so much fun catching up with the...

Jen is a gracious, informative hostess- breakfast was delicious and attractive; she shared photos of seals on their dock; canoe and kayaks were available if we wanted to experience the salmon run on the lake- beautiful setting! When we return we will definitely take the canoe for an adventure. Located close to Glacier Exit, an amazing trek near evening's sunset...

Thank you for your kind review of your stay at our B&B. I well remember you and your husband's combined quest to follow the path of the travels of your husband's late father. Such a worthy tribute to a life well lived. Glad the healing vibe of the lodge and lake helped to overcome some of the gut wrenching emotion...

We spent 4 nights in the lodge and it was beyond expectations. The lodge is located right on the lake and the surrounding is really beautiful. There are kayaks you can take any time and with a distance of about 15 minutes padling there is a creek with salmon fish trying to swim upstrem, which is really awesome to see. The...

Happy you found us family friendly. Our location with so many on site and walking distance activities make it fun for all ages. The lake offers plenty of kayaking and canoe water to explore, the fish weir, hiking trails and relaxing decks., We had 3 Innkeepers this summer and all held special talents and interests to share with our guests....

My wife and I stayed for one night while visiting Seward. We were greeted at the door and given a tour of the location. Our room was beautiful, clean and spacious - with a wonderful view of the peaks. We were given information about where to eat and play and all questions were thoroughly answered. Before dinner we went on...

We stayed 2 nights in the Bear Lake Lodging's 3rd floor guest rooms and shared a bathroom with my sister and her husband. It was a lovely setting and we enjoyed canoeing on the lake. The third floor rooms work very well for guests who are traveling with family or friends. Sharing a bath is not for everyone, so if it's more a family situation it's a plus with a good cost savings. Otherwise, we offer bathrobes to guests for use during their stay. Happy our rooms worked out well for this guest reviewer. The...

We were two couples. Nice rooms with shared bath. Quiet. Everything in good shape and clean. But owner has a larger number of rules than most B&B's and some seemed a bit obsessive. Evening ice cream ritual was nice. Location on lake outside of town meant car ride to restaurants and sights, but no issue since most travelers will have...

Happy guests enjoyed the 3rd floor rooms which share the one bath. It does work well for families and friends traveling together, and makes for a good cost savings. Little surprised by guest comments of our guidelines being too obsessive. We often joke that a B&B would make a great reality TV show, with the unexpected things that happen. So...
