If a hotel is going to KNOW that it will be packed, due to all the ships and tour busses, then they should do their best to accommodate EVERYTHING to do with that!
Pros: The breakfast lady was great.
Cons: They had an excuse for...More
We were trying to get away with a better price, so we stayed in an 'interior room'. It really wasn't very homey with a frosted window that you can't see out of that only faces the lobby. But otherwise, the beds were fairly comfy. The...More
When you pay more than 250 USD per night you expect more than a room where the tiled floor in the bathroom is broken and there is water under it that flow when you step in it. If staff in reception does not care about...More

We stayed at the Best Western in Seward Alaska and what a great experience. The staff is super friendly, cookies awaiting us at check in, rooms were clean and spacious. This hotel location is great so much to walk to and see.

The hotel is an easy walk to the Sealife Center that is well worth a visit. It's also only a few blocks from the Seward History Museum that chronicles the 1964 earthquake and tsunami. Also worth a visit. The hotel does offer a free shuttle to the other end of town. We spent three days there and did not have a car. We got along just fine. If you are coming/going on a ship or the train, contact the hotel ahead of time to let them know and they will arrange a free pickup for you. Nice little restaurant right across the street for dinner. Small menu, but everything was delicious!
