This is only 8 months over due- but better late than never. If you want an old-fashioned bed and breakfast experience, ie: delicious FULL breakfast, cozy rooms and " community" bath facilities- or even if you don't- please come and stay here if you can. It's worth it just to be under Bree's (house-mom extraordinare) care. She will take amazing...

Love this B&B and Bree's breakfast. She even had a menu for it!! Her blueberry pancake is so fluffy and tasty. Room has some history and is very clean. Will definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Seward. Good value for money too.

The people at Ballaine House B&B were the heroes of our vacation. We were so excited to stay at the Ballaine House B&B, especially after a long drive from Anchorage. But when we arrived they didn’t have a room for us. After some mad scrambling and searching through emails, we discovered I'd accidentally booked us for the next month! I...

It was lovely place overall. We got to cook our own food and could use the refrigerator to store our own groceries. Marlee was polite and Bree was quick to help us with bookings and recommendations to attractions and food places. Flower bushes blossoming all around the house which was really lovely and pleasant to look at, pity we left...

Just a great experience. Price is right; food is home made; host is wonderful; you're within walking distance of everything; beds comfortable and clean; B&Bs don't get much simpler and better than this. I had a room upstairs and had to share a bathroom with two others -- no problem at all. Highly recommended.

The proprietor of the Ballaine House goes the extra mile to make her guests feel welcome. We should up soaked from having backpacked in the rain. The proprietor assisted us with laundry and drying out our items. Great meeting them, and loved our stay.

Ballaine Bed and Breakfast is a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay! Hosts Bree and Matt were wonderful, full of helpful advice, suggestions and great conversation. Bree offered rain ponchos, gloves, fishing poles, cooler, called a taxi service, cooked to order breakfast every morning, even did a load of laundry for us. Would highly recommend to this historical B&B...

I stayed at Ballaine House for a week, and I couldn't have enjoyed my stay more. The house, which was built in 1905, is charming - historical, but up to date with amenities and comfort. The rooms all have lovely quilts on the beds, and the beds are very comfortable. We had a tv, dvd player, and vcr in our...

The home is cozy and comfortable--offering a general area to read, use computer or watch TV. The home made breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. I really enjoyed my stay--and the warm hospitality of Bree!
