We were in a double queen room with a balcony. The room was ample size with actual queen beds—not doubles being touted as queens. I like the set up of the property; quiet. Close to Exit glacier. Food and bar on site makes it convenient.
Wonderful and impressive location. Staff is Amazing. Property is spread out and tucked into the woods giving it a cabin, rustic feel. Our room was spacious, had a pretty balcony, and the bed was comfortable. Wifi worked great in our room. The lobby is spacious and has a lovely waiting / lounging area. Plus, in the AM, they also have a coffee bar that makes lattes and has some grab-n-go quick snacks, sandwiches. The property has a restaurant. I highly recommend making reservations. everyone in our party enjoyed the food and service. Overall, I highly recommend Seward Windsong Lodge. Great place to stay and enjoy what Seward has to offer.
Very nice place to stay. The shuttle service was awesome, especially since it was raining, which I understand happens a LOT in the summer time there, and since the hotel is a ways outside of Seward if you don't have a car. The people were all very friendly and helpful. The one negative is that breakfast is not included, which makes it inconvenient when you have an early excursion planned. The restaurant breakfast was way too expensive to be practical, and the lodge is outside of town, so you couldn't run out to get something quick.
Great experience travelling north to Denali and came back down to Seward then finally back to Anchorage. The beautiful sights were like nothing we experienced before. Fortuntately our scheduled allowed us to adapt to weather cancellations. Weather was the only real challenge to get to do all we wanted to. I recommend what we did (independent excursions) over a cruise because we were able to adapt to the constantly changing weather conditions.
The Windsong is a beautiful lodge, but logistically in want. To stay here, you need a car so you can go into Seward to eat. The provisions of the Lodge and Resurrection are not going to cut it. The barista in the lodge was closed. There is no microwave in the room. The only option for food was the Resurrection Restaurant. It suffers from mediocre fare and untrained service. The shuttle into Seward runs hourly, but that means a two hour minimum visit to Seward. Not convenient after a full day of activities. Staying in Seward frees you from being chained to the shuttle for food and tours.
Great hotel. Good location near Exit glacier and Town. Beds were very comfortable. They did not have elevators but there were people to bring your bags up the stairs. The property is beautiful. Rooms were large and had a patio. We would definitely stay here again
Took our 3 college/high school kids for their first visit to Alaska, knew we wanted them to see Seward and the surrounding areas. The hotel was perfect for us, good value and service, enjoyed the food and bar, all with a beautiful backdrop. Concierge was quite helpful with tours. Would absolutely return. We were actually there in early August 2021, I'm just late with my review, but that's not a reflection on this property.
Clean, comfortable room, friendly and professional staff, good restaurant right on the property a short walk from all buildings. Out away from Seward proper but shuttle runs regularly. Would stay again.
Comfortable, clean and convenient. We loved staying here. The shuttle was convenient and the restaurant provided great food. While the property provided modern services, we still experienced the rustic feel we hoped for!
The room was spectacular, very accomodating for individuals with mobility issues. I was escorting a group and greeted at the front desk by Virginia from the front desk. Virginia did a wonderful job advising me and an equally terrific job briefing the quests of the facility.
