we were lucky enough to stay in the upstairs rooms for 2 nights and then the yurt next door, all clean with beautifull views of the rain and clouds (not their fault!). the simple breakfast was fine with us but we too were concerned about the lack of anyone around and just finding the key in the door. we went...

We stayed at the Saltwater Lodge for two nights last week. It's an okay property but not worthy of all the hype it gets on TA. We had a hard time booking our room. As others have posted, getting responses via phone or email is a bit challenging. My friend actually spoke to them live after several calls to confirm...

The lodge is located outside of town and to get there you need to go down an unpaved road (not a big deal but it is worth noting ahead of time). We had a car whilst we were there but we did see Kathleen picking up and dropping off one of the guests who was staying there on her own...

The Saltwater Lodge is in a quiet and scenic location, just a short drive from downtown Seward. The drive down Lowell Point Road, an unpaved road along the coast, offers beautiful bay views. The lodge is next to outfitters for kayaking and other excursions, and further down the street is the Tonsina Creek trailhead (Chugach National Forest). We stayed in...

We just returned from an amazing trip to Alaska, highlighted by an overnight at the Saltwater Lodge. More than we could have imagined, and a place you must see. The view from our upstairs room was stunning, we saw the otters play in the bay, and were so comfortable the entire time. Kathleen is a pleasure to speak with and...

The view from the upstairs is beautiful. You look out at water and mountains. It is breathtaking. However, the lodge is not on a lot of property. There are other ?homes? and buildings in very close proximity. It really takes away from the ambience of the area. I was not expecting this at all. Even the upstairs rooms are noisy....

We stayed two nights at the Alaska Saltwater lodge in June, 2008. We selected it based upon reviews found here on Tripadvisor. Most of the reviews are right on target. The lodge is indeed located in a beautiful place; right on Resurrection Bay. It's a couple of miles outside of Seward at Point Lowell. The road leading out isn't the...

My mom, cousin and I traveled by car with our room booked here. We were very pleased with our stay. The drive to the lodge is two miles south of town, but well worth the distance. It's a quiet little corner right on Ressurection Bay. We even had a bear on the property one night, found the scat in themorning....

It was out of town, sitting on the edge of Resurrection Bay with huge windows. We saw the most beautiful sunrise while in bed. The room was very homey, Shelly was a gracious host. We found our name on the board with our room assigned. The Lodge was nicely out of town so we were able to walk on the...

We stayed for two nights and had a down stairs room in suite D and E which had two rooms both with a double bed, huge kitchen and a lounge with two sofas with a stunning view of the whole bay. It was a down stairs room so you got a tiny bit of noise from upstairs but nothing which...
