My wife and I spent a night at the Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge as part of an Alaska Railroad excursion. We arrived at the lodge by boat from Seward, which is in itself an experience. (The boat ride is part of a Resurrection Bay tour.) Check-in and transfer to our cabin went completely smoothly. The cabins are advertised as having... More

My husband and I stayed for two nights. Very luxurious stay. Fantastic staff! Food was amazing! By far the best part of our trip to Alaska. I would highly recommend staying at least one night. Well worth the money. This is a fantastic experience!

We love the kayaking, hike, beach, food and cabins! Everyone was kind and helpful. We had fun despite the rainy weather and met some great people in the social gathering room. We wished we had booked two nights instead of one

The Wilderness Lodge stay is definitely worth the trip/$$. First you go on a great hour long Kenai Fjords tour out of Resurrection Bay and are dropped off on Fox Island. They parse you and whoever is staying at the Lodge [capacity with the cabins is 16 or so] to a different eating experience altogether. The main lodge dining room... More

My wife and I stayed for two days. This is just an incredible place. The cabins and private lodge are beautiful. The staff was very personable and fun to be with. It's hard to imagine a better experience. I hike the trail behind the lodge ... a challenge and worth the effort to get to the top and a view... More

My family stayed overnight before doing the Park Boat Tour and it was one of the highlights of our trip! We were greeted at the dock and taken to the main lodge where we had a delicious meal. Then got a guided walk from a Park Ranger, and were free to explore the beach. Saw so much wildlife, totally fantastic!... More

The wilderness lodge on Fox Island is beautiful and comfortable, remote while accessible. The staff is very nice, accommodations are great, the food was awesome, the kayaking definitely beautiful - even in the rain. If I have any critique, it is that probably because of its easy access (1.5 daily boat transfer from Seward), the lodge is well used and... More

My wife and I booked this trip as part of a several day Alaskan vacation with our two teenage daughters (15 & 17) in August 2016. Our stay at Fox Island was for 2 nights but the boat rides to and from added much to the experience. In Seward, AK we were able to park the car in a nearby... More

Personalized attention, lush room, exquisite food, afternoon appetizers, afternoon visits with a National Park Ranger, small group kayak trips. Nice to usually have exclusive use of the island. Top notch.

“It rains 90% of the time on Fox Island (per the staff), so the room closest to the lodge (Dall Porpoise) makes it nice so you don't have far to walk in the rain.”
