Not your average box hotel! The lobby is full of taxidermy and knick-knacks which are interesting. If you get the 'Miner's Special', you get a small, quite historic room with the bathroom down the hall. You might want to upgrade.

Does the Hotel offer a complimentary breakfast?
when I stayed in September it did not offer a breakfast, but had a nice restraunts attached to the hotel.

Do you allow pets ?
Yes, they allow smaller dogs in the first floor rooms. There is a size limit, some reasonable rules, and a daily fee. My dog has been staying there for 12 years.

What would be your cancellation policy? My husband and Iare planning to stay the nights of August 8th and 9th, 2014.
Cancellation Policy per the Hotel Seward website: Terms & Conditions Cancellation Policies No reservation is cancelled until you are in receipt of a Cancellation Email. If email has not been received, your reservation is not cancelled. Call IMMEDIATELY to Resolve. Otherwise Charges Will apply. Single night reservations: You may cancel your reservation as of 11am AST, 72 hours in advance of your arrival date. Any reservations made within 72 hours of the arrival date are Non Cancellable. Reservations will be charged. Multiple night stay and multiple reservation up to 3: Require a 30 day cancellation. If booked in that time frame, it is Non Cancellable. Reservation will be charged for the full duration of the stay.

"Consider splurging on one of the 3rd floor "view rooms." A great peek at the bay & mountains."
"Splurge on an executive room and request a corner suite (you won't regret it!)."
