Our family has stayed at Miller's Landing over the years, and with the exception of a weekend when it poured rain thte entire time, we've always enjoyed ourselves. This is not a fancy place; there can be mud and potholes on the gravel roads, it can be crowded, and depending on the courtesy of your neighbors it might be noisy....

Having read some pretty awful reviews it was with some trepidation we drove the road down to Millers Landing, but stopping to look at sea otters and bald eagles on the way helped ! When we arrived we were so pleasantly surprised. Anyone who has written a poor review must have gone to a different place or it has changed...

A friend and I recently stayed at Miller's Landing in the Back Packer Cabin's. Now mind on first presentation, it is a campground folks so plan on living a camping lifestyle while you're there, unless you have one of your fancy RV rigs. It's wet, raining, the bathrooms are under construction, but hey....they have bathrooms and showers !! The cabins...

Six of us arrived at Miller's Landing on our way to a multi-day sea kayak trip. We arranged lodging in a basic cabin, sea kayak rentals for a four of us and shuttles to and from Kenai.. Every aspect of the trip was as promised from pick up at the train station to departure day. Several of the staff were...

The new bath house is a great addition to this beautifully-located campground/RV/cabin lodging. But, it continues to have a strange feel to it, mainly shown as a lack of interest in customers. For example, on Friday night there was a sign on bathhouse, at 10:30 at night: "closed for 10 minutes for cleaning." 30 minutes later, it re-opened and the...

Last year my girlfriend suprised me with a whitewater boat trip in Hope and I thought I'd do something equally special for her for her special day. I decided to book us a guided bank fishing trip and a 1/2 day charter. Both were great! Our bank guide Wes was knowledgable and had a zeal for fishing that was truly...

I have been visiting Seward for years and I truly feel that my trip is not complete until I've been out to Miller's Landing to go on a fishing charter. The location is absolutely beautiful, the staff on the boats are the coolest people in Seward, and they will make sure you have fun and catch fish while you're out...

We had reserved a pull through site for a truck/ boat set up that would also accomodate a tent. We arrived at 9:30 pm to see that the site was already occupied! Millers landing had no other sites that could accomodate our needs/ resservation. We were told they have a no refund policy. HOW CAN YOU CHARGE SOMEONE FOR SOMETHING...

This post seems quite odd. In the rare event we overbook (which rarely happens) we would most certainly have refunded the guest their money. We also would have tried very hard to accommodate them by helping them to find another campground. After reading some of these posts we wonder if one of the neighboring campgrounds might be posting negative reviews....

The nutshell version of our experience at Miller's Landing is this...A bit disorganized, a bit laissez faire about some rather important items (like safety with their kayaking equipment) creepy cabins and campground. Fun staff, colorful and salty characters abound in the "lobby", great water taxi crew. For a full overview of our experience, read on: This was my second trip...

We rented the beachhouse #2 cabin, which can be booked through Millers Landing. It was just a 2 minute walk from the Millers Landing lobby and campground. The cabin was super cozy and well maintained, had a BBQ and firepit and all the amenities of home. The Millers Landing campground facility is in a great location on the bay, and...

“Book early and get a Resurrection Bay waterfront spot. Big Kayak trips like Ailic Bay, book in advance. Same as fishing, the person who books the boat controls what type of fishing it does. Smaller trips like kayaking to Tonsina, wait til you get there and go on a good weather day. Ask about the Pot Luck.”
