Detailed Reviews
We stayed one night at La Vignette and it was very good. The hotel is a bit dated but extremely clean and well maintained. The breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and always ready to help. Free parking is available nearby. The prices were very reasonable.

Very friendly welcome, good humor from Mrs. Harrabi who is very available. Very clean room, impeccable bedding, excellent breakfast. We forgot some clothes and Mrs. Harrabi arranged with the Post Office so that we could get them back.

Client for more than 20 years with the previous owners, I am very disappointed since the takeover by the Résivac Group which plans to modernize the Family Pension into a Luxury Pension. Although the receptionist is very decent, we deplore the fact that the bar is only accessible by Reservation with a very limited menu, the evening meal is done in another establishment but with a unique menu and even if alternative proposal, you have no really choice and moreover you are forced to pay the room with its half board on arrival; so if you eat out you lose the Award of the meal is 70€ for a couple. We feel more hostage than on weekends off. Really to flee or just for the reception, room side nothing to say but as before

20/20. Warm and dedicated welcome, quality service, varied and quality meals, good wines, room, breakfast. Everything is excellent. We will return with great pleasure. All remarkably clean.
Only small downside: the meals were too copious for us, but the other customers' plates all left very empty.

Rooms very clean, simple & modern.
Buiding clean & traditional
Easy to park around the hotel
The beds were comfy, but only a blanket & sheet, we prefer a duvet.
Breakfast - good quality & choice
There is a beautiful church across the way which rings from 6 am onwards!
Good value for money

Our second stay at the A la Vignette. It is a great, authentic Alsatian hotel run by a great family. They are more than accommodating and always go out of their way to make our stay perfect. Very affordable, quality room. Perfect for those on a budget that don't want to compromise authenticity or basic comforts. There is parking nearby by the church (at most a few hundred yards walk), and sometimes you can find parking right out front. Make sure to enjoy their fantastic restaurant while you are there - you will not be disappointed. Great central and quiet location.

For the price, yes it's a good deal but it's definitely not a 3 star hotel.
Service is very friendly and helpful. The problem is more the age and quality of the interior decoration. The hotel is dated for old style, to cheap new, to ok. It really varies depending of the room you get (we saw 3 of them), mine had a very stiff bed.
The rooms are clean, no question about it, the hotel is quiet, the people are friendly, it's just that for a 3 star you would expect something nicer looking.

+1
Stayed one night at A la Vignette while doing a 2 day tour of the Alsace region. This hotel is located in the quaint village of Saint-Hippolyte. We decided to stay here because of the location near Hauts-Koeningsburg castle. Was a quick drive to Saint-Hippolyte from the castle.
We speak a small amount of French but the owners/workers were very helpful in helping with communication. We arrived on a Sunday night so most of the village was closed except for the church across the way. Decided to walk up to the church where there was a small market with handmade christmas ornaments and mulled wine for sale. The choir was singing, the christmas tree outside of the church was lit up and it was magical.
Dinner at the restaurant was a display of quaint French foods and service. Our dinner was delicious (I had the steak w/ fries and Creme brulee en flambee for dessert). The pinot grigio that the waitress recommended was smooth and delicious.
The room we rented was small. Two single beds with a small "sitting area" and a small flat screen television in the corner. The bathroom was small with a glass enclosed rounded corner shower. We paid approx 59 euros for the night. Was very clean and slept like a baby which was all that really mattered. Free WiFi, if you ask the person at the front desk for the password they will give you a small slip of paper.
In the morning we walked across the street to the bakery down the road to get croissants, the bakery was busy with villagers in and out buying their days worth of baguettes. Bakery staff was friendly as well.
All in all it was a great one night stay in a quaint French village. Would have been happy to stay another night or two! Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, delicious food and great wine, what more could you ask for. Highly recommend A la Vignette!
