Let yourself be won over by the charm of this magnificent Chateau located in Saint Jean de Blaignac in the heart of Bordeaux wine lands. Built during the reign of Henri IV, this estate offers a beautiful view overlooking the Dordogne River. A tranquil haven situated near the vineyards of Saint Emilion, Pomerol, Medoc, Sauternes, Castillon and the Entre-Deux-Mers. Courtebotte Chateau is dated from the XVIIth Century.…Recently renovated, we have kept the authentic architecture, combined with classic and contemporary furniture creating its charm. This property, where we hope our guests will be comfortable and find relaxation both inside and outside the domain. The five spacious rooms differ from one another: each with a unique ambiance and different style. The Pavillon and the loft welcome you and your family or friends for an attractive stay, sharing in the simple pleasures of life. Enjoy your breakfast or diner outside on the terrace, near the swimming pool, in the six hectare landscaped garden; if you prefer in the beautiful dining-room with its grand fire place. The outdoor pool (10X5 meters) is heated from mid-May to end of September. For your comfort, there are sun loungers, small tables and parasols. The open air Jacuzzi is situated in the pool area: maximum 6 people. By law, the pool is safely enclosed.

Detailed Reviews
Thirteen of us stayed at the chateau for our yearly reunion, coinciding this time with a birthday. The grounds are exquisite, the Dordogne river at your footstep. You can stroll in the garden or outside, swim in the pool, play pétanque. The five rooms in the chateau itself are romantic, very well serviced with Nespresso coffee everyday. The breakfast in the morning is sumptuous. The chateau staff are very friendly and they will arrange visits for you to wineries, Bordeaux no the region. They do not serve lunch or dinner but can serve you wine, beer and champagne. There are 4 gites in the garden which are independent with kitchenettes where families, friends or couples can stay and cook. The region has a lot of first class restaurants though and you would be better advised to eat in them. The owners and staff are meticulous and they care highly about their clients. For all of us, it was a memorable experience.

It is both for people on the road and also for a longer stay the perfect hideaway. The rooms are spacious and well renovated with a modern touch. The pool is heated and the garden is more of a park. The moment you arrive there, your perfect vacation starts. It lies right on the Dordogne, it is close to StEmilion and therefore great as a starting point for wine tasting and buying. The landlady Isabelle is very friendly and helpful for insider tipps in the area and here breakfast is just perfect. On some nights, she cooks dinner for her guests and this is unbeatable. Overlooking the river and the park, she serves the freshest food, all home made.

We stayed in the patio suite which was fantastic, large (in the bathroom there were two washbasins, bath in the middle of the bathroom, large chaise longue and a huge walk in shower you could hold a party in 🤣🤣). The balcony was also large with sofa, table and chairs. The view over the Dordogne river was stunning. Ayse the manager of the hotel was very helpful and friendly. The electric vehicle charging was really convenient and easy to use.
I have marked it down from 5 to 4, as we believed it had a pool but unfortunately it wasn’t open when we stayed in early May.

Thank you very much for sharing your comments. We have had to change the liner of the pool and it should have been ready to open 1st of May. We sincerely apologize. We hope to have the chance to welcome you again.

We stayed here for 3 nights with my teenage daughter. We stayed in the huge Capri suite. My daughter was so excited when she saw the 2nd bedroom she had all to herself!
The chateau was beautifully furnished with real character and stunning fireplaces. The grounds were lovely with an inviting pool and really comfy sunbeds. The rooms had those extra touches - bath robes, fluffy towels, comfy bedding and tea and coffee.
The service was impeccable, Ayse was so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. She also booked our restaurants and tour of the local vineyard. Breakfast was really good and huge!
I would happily stay here again.

This place is stunning!
With views of the Dordogne river this really is a beautiful place to stay. Our room, La Terrace was wonderfully furnished, finished & very clean. Breakfast was basically all home made by the very Accommodating host, the gardens and walks were great and the swimming pool just finished it all off perfectly. We had 2 nights here but wanted to stay much longer.
Very close to St Emilion and easy reach of restaurants, towns etc
Well worth a visit.

We couldn’t ask for more from our stay with Courtebotte. My husband booked for my 40th birthday. Ayse pointed him to contacts for taking us around St. Emillion and wine visits. She also helped make reservations for dinners. Out of our three nights, we ended up coming back to the chateau for dinner. Ayse prepared a lovely charcuterie plate - perfect after a long day of wine tastings and heavy lunches. Our favorite part of our stay was the large breakfast spread her team prepares. This was just the place to find some quiet and stillness. Cheers!!

Incredible! This is a beautiful property, the host is so welcoming and did everything to make us feel special but without being overbearing. It felt like we had our own private castle and hardly even noticed anyone else was there. All of the facilities that you could ever wish for in the most perfect location. Great to explore the vineyards. Quiet and scenic.

What an amazing place and Isabella the hostess is something else. She arranged our dinner in the evening and was there again in the morning to give us a hearty breakfast. The whole place is relaxing and the rooms are wonderful with great views. Pity we are only here for one night, but will certainly come back.

My second stay here. The owner is different from the first time, but the site and amenities are just as wonderful. Right on the Dordogne River with lovely views from everywhere. We stayed in The Tree House which has a lot of steps to it, but the spectacular view was well worth it.

Our Second stay here. Still a beautiful place but we had an item taken from our bag and decided to leave early as we felt uncomfortable leaving our belongings alone. Handled badly and charged in full! We were truly sad this happened as our previous trip here was perfect!
