A great motel in a wonderful location perfect for an overnight stay if travelling through France. Our room was basic and small but clean. The adjoining restaurant was superb and the motel also has a small pool which was very welcoming in 35 degrees plus! Highly recommend.

Each visit to this hotel is a pleasure. Good food in a cozy restaurant, pleasant and very friendly staff and romantic, spacious and clean rooms. Excellent price-quality ratio. In short, a real recommendation!

The motel is close to the motorway and I used the email address to reserve. Not possible to guarantee the room by credit card and the confirmation mentioned last check-in time of 20:00 h. The Reception area/Breakfast room is spacious and nice Clean and modern room with blankets, no quilt. Excellent wet room. Nice outside table to unwind with a drink after a long day. The breakfast is expensive because it’s limited (nothing hot, not even toast) and this time the croissants were old. It seemed to us that the lady running the breakfast service probably prefers to see the back of her customers. She was very reluctant to allow us to fill a coffee cup to take away.. ‘Une petite peut !’ In short, a nice room but the experience would have been five stars with a better attitude.

This hotel is situated about a 15 minute walk from Tournus. The rooms are very ageing but are clean. There is air conditioning and it worked very well. The bed was large but not particularly comfortable - it wasn't a proper duvet either, just a sheet and an itchy thick blanket. There was a lack of power sockets in the room. Some rooms are on the first floor and require climbing unlit stairs, which can be a nuisance if you have lots of luggage and/or are arriving at night time. The hotel did have a swimming pool; a cold breakfast was provided. The staff came across as quite rude and did not speak a word of English, making communicating difficult. I'd recommend staying here only if you have to, and not for very long - you'd receive much better quality for a similar price at a hotel such as an Ibis, which line the main autoroutes.

Arrived unexpectedly but with a few minutes investigating a room was found for the length of my stay. It is so quiet although just off the A6. The room was clean and was cleaned each day. The breakfast was a range of croissant, bread, butter and jams , cheeses, eggs and yoghurt plus fruit. There was coffee and teas available. Perfectly adequate. TV in the room and free wifi. Next door (on site) is the excellent la flambée restaurant.

Good hotel. Price/quality is ok. Good situation. Directly near highway and next to cheap gasoline pomp. Stayed here before for at least 5 years. Rooms ok. Flambée restaurant not good any longer. Not the same owners as before. Many other good restaurants around.

The hotel made an excellent overnight stop on the way to the Alps, it's just off the A6 motorway and very easy to find. The rooms we had were new refurbished and nicely decorated with a large comfortable bed and excellent wet room style walk in shower. The rooms are laid out in single storey chalet blocks in pleasant grounds with a small table & chairs on the front veranda. Parking directly in front of the room was very convenient. We enjoyed a meal at the onsite La Flambee restaurant which offers set menus for €22 & €28 euros as well as the standard menu, however you may need to take your phase book to translate some items! We did not have breakfast at the hotel based on previous reviews but friends found the service not overly friendly and essential items such as bowls & spoons were not readily available.

This is probably the best value hotel in Tournus, motel style. The rooms are set in blocks in lovely grounds and there is a swimming pool. The rooms are perfectly satisfactory with nice bathrooms. Wifi is available. The breakfast is OK but cheaper than some places. The attached restaurant is also very good value. It is very close to the autoroute and a 15 minute walk into town (along a rather busy road).

We found this motel by accident..... and what a find! Basic no frills accommodation but clean and welcoming. Excellent being able to park your car outside your 'front door'. Conveniently placed for the motorway with petrol stations nearby and a supermarket. Great value for money if you just want a good nights sleep and don't want all the 'extras' - there was soap provided and enough towels for us all, as mentioned, all very clean. We didn't eat here so can't comment on the food. The swimming pool was empty when we were there but this didn't spoil our stay. We had a peaceful nights sleep here and tried to book on our homeward journey but it was full - so yes we would stay again!

We were looking for a stopover on our way to the Soth of France and following reviews on Tripadvisor decided on the Village Motel in Tournus. What a perfect location just off the A7. We asked for a newly decorated room and got room 6 which was excellent. Well furnished, immaculately clean, with good Wifi, flat screen TV and a walk-in shower. Reception was welcoming. A grill restaurant next door is a real bonus after a long drive but there are other restaurants just down the road. We didn't have breakfast as others reviewers said it was disappointing for the price so headed down the road for a cafe and croissant. Another plus is we could fill up the car with petrol down the road at an excellent rate. It is also worth taking the time to visit Tournus, a beautiful medieval village. Value excellent at 55 euros a night. All in all highly recommended. We will certainly use the Village Motel again as a stopover to the South of France.
