We’ve been visiting here for 10 years or so & though various Folk have owned & run the place, it still has that slightly careworn appearance & feel. I’m convinced the bric-a-brac around the place is the same, & in the same places as they ever were. It’s really friendly & cosy with a good restaurant & being where it is, the wine list is terrific.

I don’t understand how this hotel has 3 stars, in my opinion it should have one at the most. The decoration was very ugly, the rooms could be much cleaner (there were spider webs as well as a dirty rag in our room). The staff was not polite at all quite the opposite. The housekeeping didn’t even knock and open the door in the morning.

It is sad to see an old favourite slowly dying. It appears that supporters have now voted with their feet, in mid season an empty restaurant and earliy spooky and quiet. Rooms could be a film set for 1945 and even if they have recubished othing works can air con etc. Even though rates appear reasonable at first glance frankly a hotel that provides nothing is expensive whatever the price. New hotel opening adjacent so time for a change and

Incredibly clean, and warm welcome. Restaurant is quite decent. Well positioned. Simple and very efficient. Meat fish salmons as well as foi gras very tasty and delicious. The owner is indeed a very hard worker, he is everywhere with his family trying to make you feel home. Definitely, this is not what you see and experience in france normally. Strongly suggested. For a 3 star in france, you get 5 star service. Warm kind and gentle people.
