The Paramount Hotel stands out for its prime central location, making it a hit among guests who enjoy easy access to local attractions and amenities. While the hotel's rooms are frequently praised for their cleanliness and comfort, some guests have pointed out that they could be larger and quieter.
Although opinions on value vary, with some citing unexpected fees, the cozy atmosphere and attentive service are often highlighted positively. The provision of free bottled water and toothbrushes adds a touch of thoughtfulness to the overall satisfactory experience.

Detailed Reviews

The Paramount is an older property that could use some basic updates. The room's baseboards had black luggage marks on them, the furniture was a bit worn and the old school heater/ac wall unit was quite noisy and needed to be repaired or replaced.
The pluses are the central location, the nice staff, comfortable bedding and the relatively low off-season price (however, the $61 overnight parking is a bit much but you have to have secure parking in this part of town so you're stuck!)
It was well worth the $149 I paid for it but if I had to pay much more, I would look for a room elsewhere.

The room was a bit on the small side, but I prefer a smaller room. I faced the street and had a great view of the hotel across the street and of the city.
The bed was very comfortable and I loved the linens and pillows. I slept like a baby.
The room had a nice lounger chair, good lighting, nice furniture and pictures on the wall. The furniture was a bit worn in spots, so some of it needs an upgrade.
The bathroom was clean, shower pressure decent, and there was a tub if you wanted to take a bath. I liked the fluffy towels and the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were in the shower, mounted on the wall. They were very nice and high quality. I also forgot my toothbrush and they provided one with a travel sized toothpaste at no charge. Plus, ask for bottle water at the front desk - it's free, but my room was never stocked with it.
I really have no complaints about the hotel. I only received maid service on one day and I was there for 5 nights, but that was fine with me.
The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to many attractions, so definitely wear good walking shoes as the Space Needle is at least 20-25 minutes away, The Public Market at least 15 minutes. Also go to the Starbucks Reserve restaurant which was a great meal, just very crowded, but do check it out as it's really beautiful.

A truly fine hotel right in the center of it all in Seattle. Stayed a week and felt at home in the premium king, corner view room. Every employee was courteous, very available, helpful and pleased to offer suggestions. The hospitality staff were impeccable. Our room was cleaned as we would.
The bed, sheets, pillows were so comfortable with fine quality linens. Robes, which we rarely use , were plush and cozy warm after raking advantage of the refreshing, powerful shower. Coffee in the room was very good and the small refrigerator a plus for left overs from amazing Seattle restaurants.
It would rate a solid 5 but for the lack of a pool and premium tv services. Go figure. The management also should consider supplying room and hotel instructions such as location of ice makers ,no sodas, restaurant hours etc. Didn’t know they offered complimentary bottled water at desk. The location is perfect, short walk to light rail and monorail station. In the heart of fine shopping and myriad of excellent restaurants.

1/5 stars - Avoid the Paramount Hotel in Downtown Seattle at All Costs
Where do I even start with this disaster of a hotel? Our trip to Seattle was completely derailed by the Paramount Hotel’s incompetence and indifference. During our stay, my group was charged SIX TIMES for our two rooms, along with a slew of other mysterious, repeated charges that drained our accounts. The staff? Utterly useless. Not once could they explain why this was happening—just an endless loop of “we don’t really know why, sorry” with zero accountability or solutions. This tied up nearly all our spending money, forcing us to scramble and move funds from savings just to avoid overdraft fees while on vacation. No offer of compensation, no assistance, nothing—just blank stares and shrugs.
It didn’t stop there. The hotel’s negligence put a massive damper on our ability to enjoy Seattle. Instead of carefree sightseeing, we were stressed, nickel-and-diming every move because of their billing fiasco. Oh, and let’s not forget the cherry on top: several personal items mysteriously vanished from our rooms after “cleaning.” Coincidence? Doubtful.
There are plenty of hotels around this overpriced dumpster fire—do yourself a favor and pick literally any of them. The Paramount Hotel isn’t just a disappointment; it’s a financial and emotional black hole. Stay away. Stay FAR, FAR away. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy.

I would stay at The Paramount again. I liked the room's layout and the availability of a minifridge. The central location is perfect, a short Lyft ride from most places you'd want to visit. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. I do, however, have one recommendation. The management would do well to use a black light in the rooms. Many guests definitely use a black light to check the room they book. The bedding and bed itself were prisitine, so I did not complain.

I'm so glad that I booked this hotel for my recent Girl's Getaway Trip to Seattle. It was easy to book online several months before our arrival and they honored the great promotional rate that I booked when I checked out. The room was nice, comfortable, and clean. It is a great location (a short walk from the light rail train that we took from/to the airport and a short walk to most of the spots that we visited). I also appreciated the honesty and helpfulness of the housekeeping staff that helped me to get back items that I had mistakenly left behind.

Good experience overall, but the valet staff would benefit from some hospitality training. Our first impression was marred by the valet attendant, who incorrectly assumed that we were not hotel guests, and then assumed that we thought valet parking was a free service. Not only were we guests of the hotel, but our pre-purchased room package included valet parking. I didn't get a chance to tell him all of that because when I mentioned that were were guests of the hotel, he quickly fired out the cost of the parking, with tax, that we "needed" to pay. We felt unwelcomed, as did our little mini cooper. This could have been avoided, had the valet attendant been trained to politely ask a few simple questions.
The location is excellent, and the room was lovely with high end finishing. The package we purchased with the Urban King with valet parking. Our room was a corner suite on the top floor with 180 degree views of the city and Paramount Theater!

Great location of this boutique-feel property at the corner of Pine and 8th: within walking distance of Pike Place Market, shopping, restaurants/cafes, Convention Centre, Paramount Theatre, and served by several bus routes. Check-in was easy and friendly (thank you, Nick) and car valet service was prompt. One of the two elevators was out of order so be prepared to wait a bit or ask staff to provide access to stairs. Double-queen room on 9th floor overlooking Pine was clean, spacious, and not much noise from the street. Beds are very comfy. A/C unit a bit noisy when it cycles on but not a big deal. We look forward to returning in June!

The hotel is under construction and I was completely unaware as it was not on their website when I booked and was not in any information from the hotel. There also was no discount in pricing despite the construction and the lack of entry and exit doors when needing a luggage cart. The guest services were rude and condescending. I have stayed at the Paramount many times during special weekends with my kids and I will never come back. Incredibly disappointing at every interaction with any employee other than the amazing valet. It is an incredible location but there are many other hotels with the same location where you will not be made to feel like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to pay and stay there.

Good Day meredithg698, Thank you for taking the time in sharing your feedback. We regret that your experience fell short of expectations, especially as a returning guest. While we are excited about our renovations, we understand they can be disruptive, and we apologize if this wasn’t communicated clearly. I know our Front Office leadership team already provided you discount on valet as a gesture, but we recognize that wasn’t enough to make up for the inconvenience. I'm also concerned to hear about your interactions with our guest services team, as this is not the experience we strive to provide. I would truly appreciate the opportunity to connect with you and learn more. Please feel free to reach out to me at voltairem@paramounthotelseattle.com. Sincerely, Voltaire Marave General Manager

This is a great location close to all of Seattle's best attractions. Either by walking distance or by one of the many transit lines that are offered. The daily housekeeping services were awesome. The linens and toiletries were stocked daily. I had a corner room on the 10th floor that offered great views and was very clean and quiet with the exception of normal street noise. I would definitely suggest this hotel to anyone traveling to Seattle.

No resort fees at all!
The best and cheapest way from SEA-TAC airport to downtown is the light rail; there's a station at the airport; you get off at Westlake Center - its in the center of downtown. Take the exit near Nordstrom to Pine Street. The Paramount is just a few (maybe four) blocks up hill. I think its a very nice boutique type of hotel; very nice staff and great beds.
Not exactly sure, but the staff is extremely friendly to go out of their way to help or lead you to someone who can
It's downtown at Pine and 7th, just a couple of blocks from shopping, and about a 10 or 15-minute walk from Pike Place Market.
