Thought the hostel itself was ok, decent enough to sleep in and has a good location. However, they have a surprise "guest policy" that was mentioned nowhere on their website that doesn't allow anyone not originally booked to your room to enter the hostel after 12am (door is always watched and key cards checked), even if you have a private...

This is a great hostel. It was a bit of a trek with a large suitcase from Westlake station but once there the peace and quiet was a nice aspect of the location. The staff were super friendly and welcoming when I arrived. There was a nice, well heated communal area with fun places downstairs to hang out, watch tv...

I stayed for 5 nights total at City Hostel Seattle with 3 friends during July of 2016. I got to the hostel with my friends after 24 hours in the car (we were taking a road trip to Seattle as a celebration for graduating), and arrived late at night (around 12:00am). The entire lobby was still full of energy-- this...

We spent $240 US UPFRONT on a private room that had a sink and a bathtub. There was no plug provided for the bath and no signs anywhere in the room or on the website saying baths were prohibited. We were subsequently told after the fact that baths were NOT allowed (hence there being a Bathtub/shower in our private room)....

First it was pretty hard to find as there was no sign or housenumber at the door. Staff was friendly but only did what they had to do. Beds were super soft. Rooms were quite loud. No plugs next to the beds and only in very few bathrooms!!!

Very nice hostel with super helpful and friendly staff. After a few days there it almost felt like they were housemates rather than staff. Excellent facilities (big kitchen and dining room, movie room in the basement, ...) and the cleanest and best hostel shower I have ever seen :) The shared bathrooms were brand new and huge, very comfortable. I...

Great place for adventuring, 10 min from the space needle and the Pike St Market. Beds were comfy enough and staff were helpful and always present. While they didn't always have events on they were happy to suggest places to eat and drink and to occasionally join you!

I've probably stayed in 300 hostels and this place is right in the middle. The good: great staff (although all seemed kinda burnt out on travelers), great location, affordable as far as American hostels go, overall fairly clean. The bad: just kind of tired and blah. I don't think they've really changed, or really cleaned, or spruced up, or done...

Me and my wife we stayed in a private room. The room was very spacious and clean. Even though it is a shared bedroom, there are so many bathroom in each floor that we never had to wait for anything. Also there is a sink in the room, which helps out for brushing teeth and so on. Location is perfect!...

Amazing location. Walking distance to countless restaurants and bars. This hostel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the Pike Place Market and about 15-20 minutes from the space needle. The hostel rooms were great with each room portraying different themes of artwork. The room that my friends and I ended up in was one of the human heart which...
