Detailed Reviews
I had reservation for 7/6 - 7/12. The guest services gentleman on duty, literally said 10 words to me. We got to our room and realized that the vanity is outside the bathroom. Hair in the sink, tub and behind bathroom door. Yuck! The bathroom had no ventilation either. Double Yuck!
I had an invoice from the hotel in my email that night charging me for 1 night 7/5 - 7/6. I went to the desk and spoke with a young lady who said I was being charged for a “no show” night and didn’t want to even talk to me about it and said to call the corporate office. I called the office the next day, and explained everything to Annette who apologized for the mix-up as she could see my original reservation. During the course of the week, I received additional bills via email as the kept braking down my stay every couple of days. I am home now and the charges were reversed. My original reservation was for $2,368.81 yet I was charged $2,380.83. Will be calling the hotel.
Although we had maid service every other day, our trash was never emptied and was overflowing by week’s end. The tub filled with water when showering so you are standing in 4 inches of water by the end of the shower. The walls seem very thin and there were several nights that you heard running and conversations in the halls good part of the night. I like a firm mattress so I thought the bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast was pretty good and the line moved fairly quickly. I think the layout of the area could be done differently for better flow. Trash can near the door would be helpful. There were two near the buffet and when it was busy, guests had to fight the lines to throw the trash out.

My check in was very quick but the girl working did not explain anything regarding charges or make any conversation. When I looked over at the other line, the other front desk agent was having a wonderful talk with the guests. That was unfortunate. We went to our room and only one of the bathroom lights was working and when we showered the water was cold. We went to bed thinking that we wouldn't worry too much and maybe the next day the water would be warmer. We went out the next morning not returning until evening but on the way by we asked if the water and lights could be looked at. Our room had not been attended to and nothing fixed. The bed wasn't made and we had no new towels. I went down to the front desk to ask for more towels but thought I would also let them know about the other issues. We spoke to Abraham, who was wonderful. He was surprised when I told him the issues and asked if we would mind changing rooms for our trouble. We packed up and he stopped by with a new key and some snacks. The member service he provided was unprecedented. We can't thank Abraham enough for making our trip so enjoyable.

I decided to proceed with booking based on location alone. The view of the Space Needle from the room can’t be described as no words would be fitting. You won’t be disappointed if only a view is what you seek.
Sadly all other parts of my experience there were just meh. On-site parking has increased but has not been updated on their website. There aren’t any safes inside the rooms. I left my bag in the room like most guests do and I’m 100% sure housekeeping went through it. Although breakfast is served we weren’t able to enjoy it before heading out because other guests setup at the tables like they had nowhere to go so those tables were their second home. Employees aren’t to blame but how do you go about asking others guests to move so you can eat too? My final disappointment was the terrible coffee being offered at the hotel. As Seattle is known for coffee selection I had higher expectations.
Overall the experience wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t the best either considering the price point. This location gives me motel vibes.

My family and I spent 4 nights here before getting on our Alaska cruise. Our 6th floor room was very quiet. Big, comfy beds. Super clean. Seems newly remodeled. Our bathroom layout was weird - just a tub/shower and toilet in the bathroom. Sink and vanity space were outside the bathroom. Awkward but totally manageable. I would recommend the hotel install a shelf or a few hooks for things in the actual bathroom. Breakfast was crowded on the weekend but well stocked and my daughter was able to get a gluten free Udi's brand bagel in the packaging. The hotel is 4ish blocks from the Space needle complex. Very easy to walk there. Lights/ crosswalks at each intersection. Walking distance to many places to eat. Very safe feeling area. Easy to get an Uber pickup. ( Its pretty flat in this section of Seattle so even my parents who are in their 80's did fine walking around. Just fyi, the area around Pike place market has some steep hills - take care of your oldsters!)
Staff was very helpful with info on places to eat, pharmacies, etc. I'm pretty sure the hotel does NOT have its own shuttle service but the front desk seemed able to help arrange rides to the airport and train station. (Between Uber and independent cab services, we had no trouble getting around all of Seattle.)
We enjoyed Seattle as much as our cruise and if we ever come back I would totally stay here again.

Ridiculous pricing with taxes. Poor breakfast quiches every day. Bombed out /construction area surrounding hotel. Walk through homeless encampment to get to restaurant/Whole Foods. Spotty cleaning service and I do think they have some homeless vouchers going on so your paying $$$ for poor cleaning? So disappointed… I waited a month to post this… try someplace else and drive into the center city if you must.

We stayed her prior to going on a cruise. Convenient to the dock. Rooms were clean and well kept. They have a sign which reads rooms are only serviced every other day when a guest is staying over. In most hotels there is never enough light at the desk. This was a little better than normal. The only odd part was that the hallway and room carpet was not easy to move rolling luggage across. Free breakfast. The single serve plastic wrapped waffles were really good and they had oat milk in a separate carafe. Little quiches were nice as well. They have to keep the doors locked since the City of Seattle has a homeless problem That is the cities fault not the hotel's. The Space needle and armory or only a block or two away.

Arrived Friday evening and had to wait 15 minutes to check in because there was only one person working. With the exception of the gentleman, all of my interactions with front desk were hostile and unwelcoming. It’s of my strong opinion the ladies working the front desk went out of their way to create obstacles for reasons unbeknownst to me. I’m Canadian where our debit cards don’t have our names on them. From having my card rejected to my room being “forgotten” by housekeeping - these are unnecessary obstacles caused by the rude girls working the front desk. The other thing is the guest laundry is wayyyyy too complicated. What ever happened to simple coin laundry? This was a very frustrating and disappointing stay. Will not stay here again.

Our stay was fine, but a lot of things around the hotel were broken. An elevator was out of service one of the days and the ice machine by the stairs leaked water making the carpet damp. The keys to the room door didn't work consistently, and the door itself made a loud noise closing. The lobby had speakers playing music so loud that the audio was fuzzy and distorted (when asked, someone at the front desk mentioned that the knob for the system fell off, so there wasn't a way to fix it). Nothing terrible, but I'd expect more at this price point. Otherwise, the room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot.

I just left a short stay at this property and despite paying a premium price I was greeted with disinterested staff who was more concerned by what was happening on their cell phone than greeting guests. Don't expect daily housekeeping despite $300+ nightly room rates.
Room was clean and modern but I must have had a herd of elephants on their summer migration above me because that's the only explanation for the noise at 6am.
The morning breakfast offerings were dried out and and mostly inedible by 7:30 am and consisted of prepackaged breakfast sandwiches (which they unwrap and put in a chafing dish to dry out) and these jalapeno cheese souffles that get hard as a rock and are inedible.
Nice to have secure parking at a reasonable rate under ground. No explanation of why they lock one of the elevators as associates only especially when they aren't doing daily housekeeping.
I'll choose a different hotel in Seattle on my next trip. There was no value in this property.

The Fairfield Inn and Suites Downtown is in a good location very near the Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens. The front desk people are lovely, the breakfast is good, and there’s app-operated laundry available on each floor. It misses being a five star experience for me because of the somewhat awkward configuration of the rooms: the king had huge amounts of unused space while the queen double was kinda crammed. There are some good restaurants nearby, but not much in the way of groceries. Overall, though, a fine hotel and a nice choice for visiting Seattle.
