My wife and I stayed two nights here in late August, 2014. We both thoroughly enjoyed the turn-of-the-century charm of this old Seattle mansion. While we found this place charming, comfortable, and reasonably updated, if you require all the current modern amenities, you probably won't be happy here. For example, air-conditioning consisted of leaving the 2 large windows open at... More

We enjoyed our 5 night stay in the Capitol Suite. We found the suite was perfect for 2 friends; plenty of space to share yet have separate rooms and very comfortable. The breakfasts were simple & well presented where we met a variety of people. Our host, Daryl, was exceptionally helpful with must see suggestions, travel tips, and even weather... More

My husband and I stopped over in Seattle during an Oregon/Washington road trip this summer. Because we were only staying in Seattle for one night I didn't want to pay $250 for a room (the going rate downtown Seattle during high season). I also have developed a true fondness for B&B's so I wanted to pursue those options over hotels.... More

We stayed at the Bacon Mansion in June while visiting family. As a first time B&B guest, we couldn't have been more pleased. Well appointed and maintained, both within and without. Even though all rooms were filled, it was a very quiet and relaxing stay. Beautiful neighborhood and within walking distance to many places in the Capitol Hill area. A... More

We rented both units of the coach home and enjoyed our time on the private outdoor patio...this place has real charm. What a wonderful place! So comfortable! It is located in a very nice neighborhood (close to shopping and dinning). You are greeted by the host; Daryl. He is very accommodating and offers helpful advice on where to eat and things to do. The place is furnished with antiques and makes you feel like you are a lord or lady of... More

We originally looked at Bacon Mansion as a bit of a laugh because of the name - seriously, who doesn't love bacon, right? When we stopped laughing we looked properly and OMG this place was gorgeous. We then took a proper look, and our decision was easily made! Our stay at The Bacon could not have been better. Every staff... More

Let me preface with information: we booked for 4 nights but had to spend the first 2 in Iris (attic formerly servant's room) and the last 2 in Fountain (basement). Poor Iris had issues: carpet has seen better days 15 years ago, doorknob to common bath fell off, toilet had lethargic flush which stopped on first day (and was fixed)... More

It was a good place for us to stay while in town for a graduation. We stayed in the garden room. It was quite spacious and clean. Bed was comfy. The location was perfect for us - close to everything we wanted to do. Darryl was accommodating with our very late check-in. Parking was never an issue for us -... More
