We have been staying at Shafer Baillie Mansion for years when we visit our son in Seattle. It has become our home away from home and the warm welcome by Brenda and Ana Lena keeps us coming back. The mansion is amazing, the rooms are all very comfortable and prices are very reasonable. Breakfasts are such a treat in the...

We stayed here for 5 nights recently during a vacation visit to Seattle. I booked the S-B based on the great TA reviews, and we were not disappointed at all. Capitol Hill is a nice residential area, so you really feel like you are a local. You are within walking distance from Volunteers Park. Brenda and Ana are gracious hosts....

John, we love knowing the stay lived up to your high expectations. It's such a compliment that you loved everything from our breakfast to the prime location. We'll look forward to seeing you the next time you're in Seattle! Until then, Ana Lena & Brenda PS: We will make note of the power outlets, we usually have a dome strip...

Schafer Baillie was a lovely place to stay out of the downtown core. The room was very spacious, staff friendly and helpful. Bed was a little soft and lumpy for our tastes and breakfast was average- but the coffee was plentiful and excellent - as was the snacks and treats available! We will certainly stay at this beautiful place again.

I love this place. I stay here every month for a few days for business and it feels like home. Sometimes even better! The owner Ana and manager Brenda make it a brilliant stay. They are simply wonderful people. The historical mansion has been meticulously restored to its grand original state. You will notice the thoughtfulness and detail that went...

Words and pictures can not express how lovely this property is for a visit. Not only is every detail carefully held to the highest standard, the company is equally unique. No more high end hotel stays for luxury, or even staying with family for free. The Shafer Baillie Mansion provides rest and comfort unmet in modern hospitality. No need for...

Wow, this was one of my favorite stays this last year. The 100 year old mansion is amazing and in a neat part of town. It is walking distance to some great restaurants. The owners were great and the amenities were excellent. I hope to come back in town and stay here again.

My family of five stayed here during our visit to Seattle. We generally have trouble finding an accommodation to suit us all together with teenagers. The mansion has a large suite with a sofa bed and extra room with daybeds. It was ideal for us. We enjoyed the easy walk to Volunteer park for more views of Seattle. 15th street...

This is an unbelievable place to stay. The large open areas are simply grand. We stayed there in one of the smaller rooms that was quite larger than the pictures showed. The breakfast was very diverse with typical European fare as well as a hot baked dish. The house is a short commute to downtown, we used Uber for about...

I recently enjoyed a five-night stay at Shafer Baillie Mansion. I have been traveling to Seattle regularly for 35 years and have never enjoyed my accommodation so much. My Wife and I felt more like we were staying with old friends. Brenda made us feel so at home. She sat at spoke with us each day at breakfast. The fruit cobbler was so amazing! The Mansion is beautiful beyond boasting. Come for the beauty of hospitality, stay for the experience.
