Love having 3 big bottles of refillable shampoo, conditioner and soap at the bathroom instead of the small bottles provided in other hotels. Thus I did not require room service for my 6 nights stay as I keep my room clean and threw away consumable rubbish at the lobby. One disappointing thing about Courtyard hotels in Seattle is that they do not provide kettle in the room! I had to go to the lobby and get hot water from the dispenser which dispenses coffee. Hence the hot water will contain a bit of coffee taste, which is not the end of the world.

Upfront I will say that this was a Marriott Bonvoy redemption booking as we were doing this holiday as inexpensively as possible.

Easy to locate (we drove from Bellingham WA) and it was equally easy for us to stop out the front to unload our bags and leave the car there while we checked in … It was a Sunday afternoon.

Check in was fast and the staff did inform us of service changes due to COVID (e.g. housekeeping on request etc). There was a small area just to the side of check in where you could purchase snacks, drinks etc
Our 10th floor corner room was huge, high ceilings (older building, but recently renovated) and great windows although the view was nothing to speak of. It was spotlessly clean and everything functioned as it should, TV, fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom, again spotlessly clean, was what you’d expect with an adequate selection of toiletries.

We did not use any of the hotel’s other facilities as we were out and about for the majority of the two days we were there, but we’d definitely stay there again should we return to Seattle.

Stayed here on a visit to Seattle during the busy summer months. The location of this hotel is outside of the main downtown, close to the stadium and unfortunately close to some homeless areas.

However to set expectations this is the same as Portland. The room we had was great, two queens on a high floor with the view of the street down below. parking was expensive but we were able to snag a parking spot every night on the street to the side or nearby.

Hotel staff are nice and friendly. Room was not cleaned but we didn't want anyone coming it as it was the tail end of the pandemic. Ice machines on every floor and elevator service was fast.

There is breakfast available at a cost. However it can get costly. Coffee shops are across the street and a couple blocks down if you don't mind walking. We were able to visit downtown using electric scooters and ride around almost every where.

I stayed at the Courtyard Seattle Pioneer Square from June 23 to June 29. I booked a single room facing the waterfront, and the view of the Seattle ferry terminal was beautiful. The room was clean, everything was in working order, and that’s about the only positives I could say about my stay. As a paying customer, I felt that hardly anybody working at this hotel had any interest in serving me. The only 2 people at this hotel who provided delightful service were in the lobby restaurant where I had breakfast on a few mornings. The caucasian gentleman working as cashier, and the African American waitress/coffee maker actually cared about taking my order, and cared about delivering to my table my order in a timely fashion. Every other hotel staff I interacted with at the hotel was a disappointment. When I first arrived at the hotel in a taxi, nobody helped me with my luggage, which I had 3 big pieces. When I checked in, I was told housekeeping service is not automatic and would need to be requested, which I accepted. When I did request for housekeeping, I was told they were understaffed that day, and could only give me fresh towels, and take out the garbage, which I also accepted. A few days later, when my room became desperately in need of more thorough housekeeping service, I requested early in the morning that I needed full housekeeping service. In fact, I met 2 housekeeping staff in the hallway and requested service for my room, I also called the front desk on 2 different occasions that day and requested for housekeeping service, and I waited until late afternoon and still nobody came. By then, I called again to the front desk and asked for housekeeping, which then they said sorry, they are understaffed and can only give me fresh towels. I stayed at this hotel for 1 entire week, and they didn’t come make my bed or change the sheets once. Lastly, when I left the hotel, nobody helped me with my luggage. For $360 a night, this has been the worst and disappointing stay I’ve had at any hotel in a long time. What a train wreck of a hotel.

Had the choice of picking this hotel or another Marriott property near Lake Union and decided staying downtown is a better idea since I won't have a car and must rely on transportation. Hotel is conveniently located between Cherry and James on 2nd St. in Pioneer Square right above International District/Chinatown, where you have easy access to Link Rail Line 1 so coming from and going to SeaTac Airport is like a breeze and CHEAP ($3 rail v.s. $65-75 Uber). Heading to places like Pike Place Market or Westlake is easy as 1 or 2 stops on Link Rail. It is also within walking distance to a small area called Occidental Square where you found some great eateries and shops around. Several reviews here indicated the neighborhood is seedy and unpleasant which I could not really agree. True this is not a posh area like Westlake or Capitol Hill, but it is really not as bad as how some people described it. There are always people walking around the area so watch around and you will be just fine.

Hotel check-in was fast and efficient. I was upgraded to a studio with kitchen facilities which is really nice and this really made my week long stay much more enjoyable as I get to use the stove, microwave and sink everyday. Bathroom is your standard hotel space, clean and functional. The only issue I have with the room is the thin wall where you hear guest noise or door slamming all the time. Otherwise everything works out just fine. No free breakfast despite my Titanium member status - it is your choice of 500 points or $10 food/drink credit. I tried the breakfast one day and price at the downtown Bistro is high and that $10 credit doesn't go very far so I just totally gave it up. It really is a shame that Marriott does not offer this benefit to their Elite members on all hotels.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Courtyard this time and absolutely wouldn't mind coming back for future stays. I used to stay near the Space Needle area so I could take the freeway and easily head north to many places but would love to stay in downtown area for future returns. As long as price remains reasonable, I am more than happy to consider Courtyard Downtown again.

Just an overnight stay. Less than a block from the Pioneer Square Link light rail station. The downside was that there were a lot of homeless hanging out in the area. It's also a very steep hill up from the hotel to the station entrance, which is fine without luggage, but can be a challenge with luggage.

Room and fitness room were very nice. The connected restaurant had some nice breakfast options for around $10, but some items were a little pricey ($8 for oatmeal?). I walked across the street to 7-11 for a $2 bowl of instant oatmeal to go with the breakfast sandwich I ordered from the restaurant.

We stayed here in June 2021 during the hottest heatwave Seattle had ever seen. The room was a corner on the tenth floor with a view of the bay. Great spacious room with living and dining area and separate bedroom. The staff was very helpful with everything we asked of them. The hotel had a restaurant off the lobby with great food and service. The hotel was very typical of the Marriott brand, superior accommodations. The location is within walking distance of Pike’s Market and the waterfront

I travel often and as a titanium elite with Marriott I’ve had all sorts of experiences in their properties. It’s rare that I stay somewhere and have no complaints as I am a discerning business traveler. This hotel is conveniently located, quiet, clean and although the rooms are a tad outdated, everything functions properly!

I particularly liked the easy access to The Bistro, the hotel restaurant. The breakfast selections are healthy, quick and tasty and happy hour is decent as well. However, The Bistro at night lacks ambience but it’s still a nice hassle free location to unwind at the end of a busy day.

Got to hotel at 9pm and met by oksana who helped me check in. When.I asked about breakfast as a platinum member told no free breakfast just $10 towards breakfast, when asked why no free breakfast if I don’t like that I can cancel my reservation on a night no other hotels within Seattle have any reservations, Room is lovely and view terrible but room on points and money so accept. The extreme rudeness made the whole stay bad. If that is the attitude of the hotel they deserve better check in staff

I took Uber to the hotel from the airport and did not rent a car. So, I do not know how much the parking fee is. If you want to avoid parking fees, don't ever stay downtown in any city.
